Jake, I know you read this thread, so listen up: You don't have PTSD you idiot. You have social anxiety. You only get PTSD from suffering a serious, most likely life-threatening trauma. Getting blocked on Twitter doesn't count and you insult everyone who does have PTSD with your trivialization.

I also don't think Jake suffers from anything more than mild depression, which can be a hindrance, but nothing you can't overcome unless you're Jake in which case everyone should drop everything and go fixate on him.

He suffers from being a gigantic, huge, cosmic scale faggot.

I threw a lot into this character. I cried at work. I started getting panic attacks, which I’ve never gotten before. I developed persistent heart palpitations from the daily overwhelming stress and had to go to the hospital (this is true, seriously.) I basically dropped all my friends outside of work. My manager (and his manager!) lied to me constantly to keep me working. They said I was doing a great job but to keep it up. Don’t worry, it’s going to turn out great, and it’ll all be worth it in the end – recognition, a raise, probably a promotion in short order. They promised me the world. When she was finally finished, I didn’t even get to go to the release party, they just walked me out.

Maybe you got canned because you were losing your goddamn mind over rendering a computer character? I swear, RIOT seemed to have attracted huge headcases like Becky and that guy, and now that the company got rid of these batshit insane spergs, they're all butthurt because they can't get paid to hide under their desks and cry on Twitter all day.

Jake got PTSD because his mommy didn't blow on his Hot Pockets and they burned the roof of his mouth.

Jake has no point of comparison for bad experiences, because he has no experience. He’s never been dumped, lost a job, been bereaved or had any of the other myriad life experiences that your average adult goes through. He’s never even been stressed in any real sense. He almost certainly is depressed, because he’s surrounded by people a decade younger than him who are successful while he’s not moved on since high school. But otherwise, he’s stuck in that teenage phase where every little thing is the end of the world.

GRAHAM! http://archive.li/8bKzw Just a few weeks ago Graham said why he stopped following Jake, because he noticed Jake was a weird, creepy liar. https://archive.fo/POdc5

Jake really wants to slide into the DMs of this Paizo-associated troon.

Why does he think he’s going to be killed this month specifically? He’s been saying his life’s in danger for years. If his mother wanted him dead, she’d just stop feeding him and watch him starve to death as he panic-tweets for someone to heat his Hot Pockets for him.

Because this is the month that it is.

But he has... sort of. He lost that cousin (his so-called "brother"), he got fired from his one and only job at the grocery store, the RPG site he wrote for went under, and of course he got dumped (out of the friendzone, anyway) by CHELSAAAAYYYYYY. He just never learned anything from any of those experiences.

This guy's pretty aggressively redpilled now:

he got fired from his one and only job at the grocery store
Did he get fired? I remember him moaning about the job on his blog and it's obvious that he didn't last very long but do we actually know how it ended?

I do agree that he does have some life experiences (the death of his cousin being the most prominent one, perhaps some family stuff he watched happening, watching his mother struggle etc.) but some of the other stuff...I just don't know. Is losing a job you didn't want in the first place (and probably just got because mom was pressuring him into it, and the loss of income wouldn't really affect him because he doesn't pay rent, bills etc.) the same as someone with 2 kids and a mortgage losing his/her job?

Is losing your chat buddy the same as your wife/husband of 20 years dumping you for someone else?

I'd say no. But in Jake's arrested development, fucked up, paranoid mind he has suffered like no one else so fuck him.

Considering he actually did shit, I have no problem believing Riot is an abject shithole that would put you on a death march assignment and then instantly fire you after you did the best job you ever did in your life.

Just because Becky hates it doesn't mean we should necessarily stan for this absolute fuckhole nightmare workplace.

I guess it shouldn't surprise me that he's a lolcow
It must really burn Jake up that he drove away a "somebody" from following him.

Yes indeed, he was fired: https://archive.li/yHCXh

It amazes me that Linehan, a gruff middle aged comedy writer who has been on prime time UK tv for decades, is in SGG's orbit. It's like Chris being friends with Roseanne or something.
Dude's a social media addict nowadays, with even more tweets than Jake. A lot of his current life is occupied by gay keyboard warrier crusades. It's a sad reminder that anyone can develop a pathological need for instant gratification.

Jake is an idiot if he can't see people are repeatedly turning their backs on him for being just as bad as the people he hates, though. It shouldn't be "baffling" when people have stated their reasons repeatedly.

"rarely and calmly"

He plugs it at least once a week and always in the context of his safety - neither rare nor calm.

Jake has no point of comparison for bad experiences, because he has no experience. Jake's also had none of the joyful experiences most people have had by his age, and I think that shapes him even more than his limited exposure to life's downside.
