From what I remember from her blog regarding those characters, I imagine the answer amounts to: "Because they're SHO SHAD AND GAY!!!"

Poor Lord Ryder is sho shad, because has to be in charge and act responsible even though she hates both of those things and would rather sit somewhere and read books! (Even though it's a responsibility she chose for herself and that she could walk away from at any moment.)
Poor Ascentia is sho shad, because she had an abusive wife! (whose abuse apparently amounted to having a large social circle and making friends with people even if she wasn't going to see them often afterwards.)
And the others are sho cute because they gay! (Because Lily, like most of tumblr, fetishizes gay people.)

Revenge is more nuanced than simply wanting any sort of negative thing to happen to those that wronged you. Some people want a specific thing to happen to those who wronged them because they believe that specific action is the only thing that will satisfy their "thirst for vengeance."

Jerry once again generalizes by thinking that causing just any kind of misfortune to those that wronged them satisfies anyone and everyone who's looking for revenge.
