Yes. It is their debt. They are 100% in it together. That's why when people ask why he is spending money on stuff he doesn't need, he throws Kat under the bus and says SHE bought it with HER money.

Why is Kat buying him a Gremlins shirt? Why is she getting packages sent to the house? Why does she buy video games when Phil has almost every single game that's come out on his PS4? Why did Kat buy a PS4 Pro when Phil has stacks of consoles just gathering dust? Why is she spending money on a gym membership? Why did did she buy stuffed animals and Halloween costumes? Why did she offer to help give put more of her money towards bills?

Kat just lives there. She don't give a fuck if Phil loses his house. She's been working full time for close to a year. I bet she has money in the bank and will be just fine.

So anyone can tip you on-stream or pledge to Patreon and remain anonymous, but when someone wants to remain anonymous but still have their generosity disclosed to your community your response is, "Send me a personal check dood. If you tip me or Pledge to my Patreon anonymously super-hackers will track you down and destroy your life. Also we can't mention at all that I received your large donation, because super-hackers." But also you would have told your community exactly how much you got
You literally said in this video that your response to someone concerned as to whether they can tip or pledge anonymously was, "Send it behind-the-scenes and don't tell anybody!"

Yeah Dave, I really believe you that you were going to tell your paypigs that you had $9K coming in a couple months so you would be needing less money.
ETA: LMFAO in the KOHF post he actually explicitly says that if the donation was legit he wouldn't mention it until long after his 3 planned beg-a-thons to try to get as much money as possible from the paypigs over Christmas.

I just quoted a post yesterday about how in 2016 you begged your dad for several thousand to pay what you were short on your 2016 Federal Taxes, the amount you owed ended up being less than what your dad sent and so you pocketed the difference. You can't even keep your lies straight for a full minute and you scammed your own father with tax begging lies. Get fucked.

There's a few interesting takeaways from this. The biggest one is not only the fact that Phil double downs on admitting he wanted to hide the donations from his viewers, but further sticking his gout ridden foot into his mouth by confirming the reason he wants to hide donations is because he's worried if people see that he's already making a lot, they won't be as inclined to donate. Now, we've suspected this for awhile now, but we technically never had any proof, just speculation based on Phil's greed and past behavior. Phil doesn't exactly say how long he's been doing this for, but he makes it pretty clear this is a mindset he's had for awhile now and isn't something he just thought of.

Going off of things we've suspected but never technically had confirmed, Phil makes it clear that the oddly specific 16k is in fact a number he just pulled out of nowhere because he doesn't know how much his taxes will be. And, he even sets up for future begging/pity parties by implying his income taxes might even be more than he expected. This is at odds with his earlier statements where he was taking about hiring a tax expert and spending thousand of dollars to get his current taxes in order. Seems like if you spend that much money and work with an expert, they'd be able to give you a solid number and not 16k.

Phil also brings up a new issue which is a problem he entirely created on his own, he not only admitted he doesn't need the 16k right away, but he even goes so far as to say it would actually be bad for him to raise 16k before December. So...why have three holiday marathons before 2019? Why insist people should tip because he needs the money right away when it's actually bad for him to get large amounts of money right now versus January? In Phil's "defense" this might just be his business degree at work again and genuinely being too stupid to realize that, based on what he was saying, it would make way more sense to run multiple marathons starting in January and would want to push for the immediate payments then and not now. Obviously, it wouldn't make sense to just give up making money for a month no matter what the situation, it's just the running three specific events to raise funds while admitting that now is the worst time to do it is now that is suspect, and it goes back into the previous point about Phil using this to set up for future begathons. For Phil, it is somewhat clever because it creates a win/win situation. If some miracle happens and he raises a bunch of money, awesome, instant gratification and now he can just spin it in a month about how raising so much money was actually bad and he needs your help because the last begathon pushed him into a higher tax bracket and now he owes more. If he doesn't raise a lot, he can just keep playing the woe is me I'll lose my house card and talk about how he worked so hard and ran three special events for his loyal paypigs even though he wasn't making enough, aka the usual Phil begging/guilt tripping.

The last bit isn't quite as interesting since we already knew it from the Tut saga and suspected it long before, but now we know Phil apparently talks to at least a handful of people regarding donations and he even has a standard operating procedure he uses. Again, it doesn't seem like the money transfer/avoiding PayPal and the hush hush talk is something he just thought of out of the blue for this. It really makes you wonder whether Phil's been getting donations outside of his streams we don't know about. I've personally never considered it before because it always seemed like Phil's paypigs loved the attention so it wouldn't be as satisfying to give in private, but the fact he has such a specific system in place really makes it hard to tell.

My takeaway from Dave's night prestream rant is that even when he is ranting he cant stop lying:

15min later he is still ranting , comon Phil the only time that you "will quickly touch on this" is when "the camera is on "

So, in the recent TKOHF post @KingjadVCMP linked to above, Phil writes: "In reality, there was only one way to go about this: raise as much as I could on streams in December, then contact the guy in January to let him know how much I still needed for the taxes..."

In the email that set all this off, Phil writes: "I'd ask that we do this AFTER the first of January [his capitalisation]. Reason being, it would put it on the 2019 books income..." Postponing the donation was "to avoid creating an even further tax burden for me come April". The donor wasn't let in on the plan Phil elaborated on in the TKOHF post to be contacted later in January with updated numbers, the plan which would give the donor the option to "donate that much if he really wanted to".

Can anyone remember a time when Phil reacted this fast and strongly to troll non-sense? Fighting with people on Twitter about it, a Twitlonger, a Pre-Stream rant ("I'm not gonna take this any more", "I'm putting my foot down", etc.), and then the TKOHF post. He must see this as potential loss of "funds". Nich did leave, after all.

Also, Phil's claims to having been offered twelve troll donations since Thanksgiving reminds me of the supposed mountain of business magazines that trolls had subscribed him to, the incredulous reason Phil gave for the government's inspection of his finances. You'd think between the twelve false offers of financial freedom and the mountain of magazines arriving at his door, he'd have mentioned something before they became the reasons for why his problem isn't his fault.

Considering he's such a doormat, I wouldn't be shocked if he's trying to use his twitch money as an incentive for Kat to stay while she rinses him and works on getting her own place. Hell, if you have no scruples then Phil is pretty much the ideal mark for this kind of grift. I wouldn't be surprised if she waits for the house to fall through and get a slice of the money from that before staying in Seattle while Phil has to go back to Connecticut.
