Ew.

I've spoken to ace people who have sex because their partners want to, but they don't actively enjoy it, and they definitely don't have kinks. She's not ace.

If she migrates from Tumblr because of the censorship thing, I bet you'd be able up find her somewhere on Mastodon.

This is hilarious. We know you're not ace, dude. It's fine to say you're allosexual and sexually repulsed.
imagine going to art school and still drawing like this.
should someone tell her that she has a body she can use as a reference? like, you can take pictures of yourself or simply look down at your hands. you also have billions of reference images on google that are one search away.
i can’t get over the size of that arm. if she turns around too quickly that massive meaty arm will just smash through whatever she’s standing next to. this is unbelievable to me. i’m genuinely baffled. the other arm is so fucking small, too. guess you can tell which arm she faps with

Asexuality has never and will never exist in humans.
It depends on how literal you're taking the term. The most obvious definition of "no sexual attraction to anyone" occurs very rarely, is characterized as Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder; my favorite explanation is excess Prolactin production since we know it inhibits libido for both sexes. This is an area psychiatry could do real good, but never will, because "diagnosing" asexual special snowflakes is oppression or something.
The secondary definition of no desire for sexual activity has existed probably since the dawn of man. Hermits aren't celibate because they want to be celibate, but because they are simply apathetic towards sex. Diogenes had a great take on this:
When scolded for masturbating in public, he said "I wish it were as easy to banish hunger by rubbing my belly."
These people have existed since forever, viewing sexual desire as a base instinct that you can persistently wank to cure and nothing more. They'd probably turn down sex even if they had the option. That's not technically categorized as a mental illness so far as I'm aware, but it certainly isn't normal.

I mean basically it comes down to something got fucked up - either your junk or your hormones or in your brain. But a lot of autists would rather fuck an object than a person like that lady in the Waifu thread with an anatomically correct squidward. My guess is that Luna’s sexuality is closer to this with some weird kinks on top of it, which doesn’t really make her asexual but it’s more dignified I guess to call it that than admit you’re just a perpetual masturbator. Just like calling yourself trans instead of saying you’re too brokebrained/developmentally stunted to have developed a strong sense of gender identity.

I'd just like to point out that medication (a handful of anti-depressants for instance) can suppress libido, and if someone's on that medication for a long time or even for the rest of their life, that obviously adversely affects their sexual life and could lead to them identifying as asexual just to sum their feelings up in one word.

I'd also like to state that her characters arms trigger the fuck out of me. How does one look at their drawing of someone who'd have to lean 5 inches away from their keyboard to type and think "yes I am okay with showing this to the world"?

In my mind saying you're asexual is the easy way to get out of having to deal with your problems. You see that a lot of "asexual" people are women, and sexual disorders in women are caused more by psychological reasons than physical "pussy bone broke" reasons. Which is why, if a woman can't get it up, she is sent to a sex therapist and not given a "female viagra" pill to pop or a bunch of hormonal treatments right off the bat.

But the thing is, going to therapy and working through why you might have issues around sex takes a lot of work and personal investment. So the obvious lazy snowflake solution is to say that being a damaged, disordered, and/or socially awkward woman is your sexuality, and trying to get you to function normally is "conversion therapy".

Huh. I'd always presumed that to be asexual would also require no interest in sexual stimulation of any kind. So I would not have classed anyone who still masturbates as asexual, since they still have a sex drive, it's just either unable to be filled by another person or they prefer their own company.

This is besides the point for the thread, though, in that Luna's clearly not asexual, she just acts like she is because she's uncomfortable in her own body.
