Based off of this post and the other posts I've seen from people who appear to have been close with Nia, yes, most of the evidence so far points towards a suicide.

This was only the second person to post about it on femme4memes, and they seem to strongly imply that Nia committed suicide. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the original post said before it was edited.

I guess her family and friends are trying to stop people talking about her death while they grieve, though at this point the cat is already out of the bag.
