Call me crazy, but I think that this ties back into how he's carried over his high-school mentality into adulthood: he perceives people like Pewdiepie to be analogous to his "bullies" (I put that term in air quotes because I highly doubt at this point that Bob was the victim of actual bullying but instead was merely told off for being a smarmy prick), and the corporations pushing for the suppression of their ideas as the teachers and other authority figures who "protected" him and whose bosom he could find comfort in during those years. We know he's one of those people who associates all possible negative traits with people who disagree with him on various hot-button philosophical issues, and vice-versa for those who agree with him: his warped, myopic worldview is the product of stunted emotional development that likely arose from poor parenting.

That many of these corporations prop up politicians, and that much of the infrastructure, security, and competition-killing regulations these corporations enjoy were made possible to them by the State (and by extension, the taxpayers?) I see where you coming from with this. It actually make sense to why he has a hard on for corporations due to wanting to control and monopolize everything.
