@Pargon Like all things streaming is both good and evil. I myself am friends with a bunch of small streamers, and it's quite fun to have little communities you can visit to share fun experiences with.

Also there are some really interesting people who stream; like there are comedy writers and sketch crews that have board game/ multiplayer streams that are just 4-10 funny people being funny together and having a good time. These are some really enjoyable experiences.

All forms of media end up helping lowest common denominators succeed. Music, TV, Movies, books. They've all had it happen.

I think DSP knows deep down that Tut might have stuck around if he had not responded to Tut's criticisms the way he always responds: name calling and insults. In the very back of his mind he knows the way he treats people causes them to leave. And he feels bad. Not because he enjoyed talking to Tut, but because he cost himself potential revenue.

Streaming serves a great purpose as long as the streamer can handle it. Personally, I have a ton of fun on my little streams. Whether just dicking around on a video game or doing a music stream and introducing a younger audience (like it or not 50%+ of stream watchers are kids) to good music is a blast.

But if you are a bonofied slutbag or scumbag, it gives most streamers a bad name. Pretty much any Thot, DSP, Wings, LTG, Dr. Disrespect, etc... makes the bulk of streamers in general look like scum.

Is it still possible E7 is a troll? It took a while for tut to reveal his true intentions right? Not that I think it’s right, but the most effective way to hurt Phil’s wallet would be to fill it with all that money, then wait for him to spend all of it, it does take months for him to receive the payment. Then just before payday “whoops, stolen creds”. Aw CAHMAHN!! He’d be fucked. It’s just mind blowing that someone could genuinely piss away like 10k and get nothing out of it.

It's been covered, but gifted subs cannot be refunded per Twitch's website. So Phil will get that money (unless, I guess, Twitch could prove he knowingly committed fraud or something). The only possible troll angle here is that E7 was trying to depress other donations by making splashy sub gifts. Thing is, unless you believe Phil would have gotten $12000, this hypothetical "troll" just gave Phil a shitload more money.

That's not how it works. If you wait until the money has cleared, they're not gonna revoke the money. That's the whole point in the delay.

More importantly, with subs/cheers there are two middlemen- the CC company and Twitch, either of which is quite likely to just eat the cost and pay off both sides in a stolen CC allegation.

I'm just blue-skying while at work, but...

...absent of a Bob Cratchit figure, DSP's A Christmas Carol could be a pretty viable thing. Maybe split Phil to be both him and Scrooge; Young Phil as Cratchit and Present-Day Phil as Scrooge.

A few things.

1. Phil is not suicidal or even depressed. He made $12,000 last week and is a professional grifter with no compunction. He’ll monetize any tragedy he can: his girlfriend’s panic attack, his dying parents, etc. So for those people thinking Phil’s about to off himself, you’re gravely mistaken. He has more than a few personality disorders, so don’t expect him to behave like a normal person.

2. Kat’s not going anywhere. Regardless of how she actually feels about Phil, where else is she going to get free rent / utilities / internet / transportation / groceries? Even if she’s cheating, no one is going to let her move in with her track record (ok, Phil is the exceptional exception in this case).

3. Don’t compare cam girls to Phil. It’s an insult to those women.

That’s true. I just feel like there has to be some ulterior motive behind picking subs. All it does is artificially inflate his “growth” and bring more people to look at his channel, go “wow this guy sucks” and get banned. Plus twitch takes a chunk of the money. Why not just give Phil the money in tips? I also saw someone say that because of all the subs his taxes will be even higher next year. If that’s true I can see why Phil showed no happiness when it E7 started makin it rain subs.
 
I can only assume Kat put her foot down about being on stream and Phil begged her til the last minute and is now making up for it by spending more money on her.

Classic fuckup streamer "you care more about streaming(money) than me".

Phil's a coward pushover, but I'm sad we wont get a full depression stream.

His taxes go up no matter how you pay him. E7 isn't really trying to help Dark. Either he's a deep troll, or I think he's just a random Twitch Flexer who keeps $50k on their account and drops fat cash in random streams for "street cred"

If they were a cultist, they'd have tipped him. And if it's a deep troll op it's terrible.
