He knew people would accuse him of taking a vacation if he was gone all week long on a holiday week so he drove back from seattle last night to the house to do the 2 hour stream and then drove back to the hotel after the stream where he will be until he leaves saturday morning.

Texas Roadhouse is a national (read: global) chain. Yeah, it’s a Houston institution started at the rodeo and they just decided to branch to the Pacific Northwest for shits and giggles or pick whatever choose-your-own-adventure you prefer for an origin story.

The bacon-wrapped shrimp suck, anyway. Never get fish or shellfish at a “steak” chain. They have pretty alright potato skins, though, and their tall draft beers are on the cheaper side for a chain.

Most likely case. He mentioned that if he felt okay tonight, he would play Blackout.
According to his twitter, his first stream was the Begcast with the second being Blackout. So, why not just say you were going to do the Begcast first since that's what people wanted?(We all know why, it's his late night stream and wants maximum profit during his daytime) So it's suspect that he's pushing it for after New Years.

Some people believe that he had another staycation in Seattle and that on his last stream he drove back to his home to do the stream and went back to the hotel after the stream. Now in my opinion that is too much for Dave to do especially since he hates driving, unless he had Kat drive the whole time but I doubt it since that is alot of strain on her hooves. That being said I just think he is just taking the week off because one of many reasons (Autism Speculations at this point):

Reason 1: He got a large donation from a long time fan that he trusts and that fan told him not to tell anyone about it so he can still get more donations. But Dave then made this sickness crap up so he can spend that "extra" money on visting Seattle which you can do in one day without getting a hotel. I bet Kat told him not to pay for a hotel (she probably realized that is a waste of money that she can use) but instead she would drive and didnt mind it.

Reason 2: He got no other large donations but just took the week off since E7 gave him all those subs. Also Dave is lying about his financial troubles so that E7 money is extra spending money so a few days not streaming is not a big deal.

Reason 3: Kat did leave his sorry gout ass and he is now wallowing in his depression and is losing the will to stream or do anything with little effort.

Reason 4: Dave is actually sick because he has the body and immune system of a bubble boy, so just opening his windows to let in fresh air just causes him to get sick quickly. Plus he is a drama queen so he makes it seem he has the Plague but really it is a small cold.

Either way this postponing of the podcast reeks of bullshit or he just has weak body so no one should be surprised he got sick from some fresh air entering his pig pen.

In all serious and my joking theories aside, i believe he likely doesnt feel 100% (anything is major when you are such a pussy), is depressed and drinking and just doesnt feel like doing the streams because he doesnt think it will maek him much money anyways..

Well he does get Patreon money on the 1st, so cable is covered. That's my theory on the sudden increase in "overdrafts." When he got $1,000+ he could stretch that out until Twitch/YouTube comes in. With half that he blows through it too quick and desperately needs tips so he can get a few more burgers, movies, or minutes of Kat's time.

I think he probably has the sniffles or something along those lines, but I also think, in typical Phil fashion, he's greatly exaggerating the severity of his symptoms. There's also the usual level of Phil laziness in play. I don't think there's anything particularly deeper than that, it's not like Phil being lazy and taking time off is that unusual, and based on what other people have posted from his Twitter feed, he's apparently used this specific excuse before for the last few years. There's staycation/Kat leaving theories every other week no matter what Phil is doing, which is more fun to speculate about, but I think all evidence just points to Phil being his usual lazy self, maybe mixed in with a particularly bad hangover.
