You can keep on crying: a lot of western languages are exactly like this. Gendering people and objects isn’t meant to be transphobic, it’s meant to make things less confusing.

English is actually pretty nice because we don't gender nouns. And yet Labelle still seems to have this weird French superiority complex...

Hurm.

"masculine objects are better than feminine objects"
wow that projection. if billy didn't insist on absolutely butchering the French language every time he opens his mouth he'd know that gendering objects has literally nothing to do with hating trannies or women or whatever.

Exactly, it has (inherently) nothing to do with masculinity, it’s just gendering the words. I guess Labelle has nothing significant to complain about anymore.

I’ve been to a handful of drag shows, they’ve all had sexual performances.

A little boy should not be performing in drag, in a gay bar in front of horned up/drunk gay dudes. It’s perverse.
only went to one a good while ago. the type where they impersonated famous singers like adele & old icons like bette middler. this was in alabama too.

there was one part that was like 'stand up' where gay men heckled the drag performer , who came back with hilarious, filthy insults: "no i can't blow you because your dick is too small to fit in my mouth dude, sorreeeee!" and it was damn funny. I liked the heckling segment better than the 'singing' or whatever it was.

but no question this was sexual and all-adult.

that poor kid. that poor poor kid.

Which means he finally got laid once or twice recently. I’m shocked he hasn’t gone back to his go-to complaints about how no one wants to fuck him in quite some time. Or maybe our mocking has finally gotten to him and he dropped the topic like he has done with several others.

I don’t know, proclaiming that anyone who declines to have sex with you is commuting a hate crime is right up there.

Oh for SURE, there's just something especially hilarious to me about some sad dipshit knowing no other women than his mother and begging her for sex.
Different senses of humor I suppose, either way both are hilariously sad

Drag doesn't have to be sexual, but the most common form seems to be full of sexual innuendo and performing with half-naked male dancers. In my opinion, the drag kids are creepy and remind me too much of the creepy beauty pageants for small girls, but that doesn't mean a drag show with a kid has to have that sexualised aspect to it. This specific instance is unlikely to have had that sexual aspect to it, considering he probably just imitates the drag queens he sees on RuPaul's Drag Race who are somewhat sanitised for TV. But it's still not a good look - I'm just not convinced anyone watching it is a guaranteed pederast.

Still, performing at a gay bar at 3 am isn't a good look for any kid, drag or not. And while some kids are born performers, this is still a point where parents should be stepping in - there's child labour laws for a reason, especially for this sort of thing.

You heard it here first, guys: a child pole dancing while men throw dollar bills at him isn't sexual at all. It's just "not a good look" for old Desmond!

You’re wrong. All of Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, and YouTube has been very adamant that NOTHING about Desmond’s drag acts is REMOTELY sexual or inappropriate for a small child and if anyone dares to say it is, they’re the REAL pedophiles.

I haven't seen the performance, so I don't know how sexualised it was. To be honest, I'm picturing something like the dance at the end of 'Little Miss Sunshine', which could be considered to have sexual elements but is very much not a sexualised dance.

I think it was inappropriate. I think it was gross. I just don't necessarily think it was a sexualised dance along the lines of that Afghani thing - that the onlookers were motivated by pedophilic desires.

Why didn’t you just ask?
