Tumblr artists don't know how to draw clothes looking like they actually fit on a person, and it's probably because they don't draw the actual body under the clothes first. They jump straight to the more "finished" thing, and all the characters they draw end up looking like they're wearing cardboard. Stiff.

Has this guy ever heard of the phrase "Fan-Service"? The people making these things sometimes put female characters in racy costumes to please a demographic. It's not supposed to be some political statement about how women should dress.

The worst part about this is how this cunt types. I don’t know if they’re trying to come off as less feminine sounding or trying to pull off a “I don’t even care” attitude, but it doesn’t accomplish either. Only the most dramatic chicks who never left high school type like this, and even if randomly inserting “lol”s and “lmao”s and typing was effective in making her sound carefree, she undercuts it by phrasing every other statement as a question and writing long ass paragraphs about “I’m not even mad, it’s a prank bro, I’m doing this for fun!” that’s still undercut by calling the designs instrinsically bad and making her “uncomfortable” (Tumblrinas abuse this word so much) a sentence later.

She comes off as someone trying to look cool and unaffected, but will fly off the handle the first time somebody really breaks down everything shitty about her art from “practical” clothes that probably aren’t practical at all (and even if the originals aren’t, practicality is secondary at best to what character design is supposed to do) to bring so lazy that the faces and hands are all balls.

This honestly looks fine to me. I'm assuming it's DDLC, and if that's true Yuri looks alright to me. They made Natsuki chubby and made her dress like a five-year-old, and I know it's because Natsuki likes cute things and bakes cupcakes, but it just ends up a little inaccurate and ugly. They probably didn't catch the mention of Natsuki's father restricting her eating.
