I think Double Toasted did a review of it and that's how I knew it was a thing.

Pretty sure they gave it a "rental" rating, which is above only the "some ole' bullshit" and the "FUCK YOU" scores.

So what by their definition makes “elites” less accurate than capitalists? Last I checked middle class pro-capitalists exist but they sure as hell aren’t the ones pursuing youth preservation by bathing in blood.

Tumblr’s hate boner for capitalism is so backasswards that half the time they seem to think that non-capitalist societies don’t have rich people or pay for things. It’s more of a buzzword than anyone I’ve heard saying “elites” honestly.

Eh, I don't think the cis people come off that bad, considering that not only the trap thing but also the Tik Tok voice thing aren't transphobic but the troons claimed it was anyway. Also because the OP claims it was a "reasonable callout" when it was the standard 'trans sooooo oppressed uwu' bullshit, with the troons being perfect and nice and the cis people only existing the mock and kill them.

On Tumblr, if you mention rich people you're anti-semitic, because you can only really mean the Jews. It's only OK if you say 'capitalists', because everyone on Tumblr knows that only wealthy white men who aren't Jewish can be a capitalist.

AKA your standard 'I hear dog-whistles all the time, but that doesn't mean I'm paranoid it just means the world is out to get me' Tumblrism.

I mean I understand it from a certain point of view. Some people will "cure" autism the same way they "cure" the gay, by screaming and beating the shit out of an autistic child until they stop doing a thing (in reality just making it worse).

Am I giving a self diagnosing autist against gene editing too much benefit of the doubt? Probably.

They already do. At least when it comes to preventing aka through abortion. For them that is “eugenics” which makes you the same as Nazi.

I hope in the future gene editing allow us to 'cure' down's and other syndromes/conditions in the womb.

I'm p sure they are talking about a hypothetical cure. The big problem I have with these people saying “ the autistic community doesn't want to be cured uwu” is that I and everyone else don't give a fuck if you don't want your autism cured. Cure is needed for those who are severely autistic and can barely or not communicate at all, harm themselves and others during their retar. ded meltdowns and are just very hard to take care of. It's not for your quirky, obsessed for children's cartoon ass.

Call me stupid but that explains so much. I used to follow this girl who was virulently pro-choice, but when it came to mothers not wanting or not being able to take care of disabled children, it was like a switch flipped in her brain and she became a Christian fundie--"just put it up for adoption, why did you have a child if you weren't ready for this possibility, would you kill an autistic adult, etc etc".

Hopefully CRISPR will do us good if it isn't stomped out by ethics panels for...quelle horreur, making the profoundly disabled able to live normal lives.

that doesn't really sound pro-choice does it? also, many children that are disabled that end up for adoption just aren't adopted. It might just happen a really good soul would want to adopt a potato who requires 24/7 care but honestly? they'll spend their life there or end up institutionalized.

Every child should be wanted. I wouldn't want a disabled child born into a home with a family that would come to resent them or lacked the resources to provide them with the best life possible. If a mother is told their child might have a debilitating condition that she wouldn't be able to cope with, then abortion should be the obvious choice.

How is that eugenics?
