So... Because we can never escape from this shit, let's travel back to earlier at a previous E3, when indie darling The Last Night stole the show with its advanced graphics and unique setting idea. Unfortunately the developer behind it, Tim Soret, proceeded to get immediately attacked by Quinn, because OMG, HE SUPPORTED GOBBERTYGRAB ONCE. NeoGAF, back when it was still ResetERA, jumped on the bandwagon immediately, leading to months of real-time harassment against TIm Soret. Unfortunately, that shit has not ended, because now Soret's facing harassment again:

TL;DR: Quinn's earlier developed shitstorm led her buddies on Twitter to constantly attack Soret in an effort to shut down the development of his game. They succeeded, after her buddies in the gaming press declared him an evil misogynist, when several financiers of the game pulled out. While development is still moving forward, they've effectively hamstrung the game's development, so it's definitely coming out later, rather than sooner.

Even with no real power, and having left it entirely, she's a fucking blight on the industry.

Some more's been coming out regarding The Last Night, and the scenario's worsening.

The Last Night has suffered a full publisher pull-out, seemingly courtesy of Quinn and the outrage brigade. Industry-wide blacklists (coincidentally, ones set up by the likes of CON) and assholes friendly to Quinn and company have essentially destroyed the ability of this game to get published, and Tim Soret is currently looking to get funding for the game without compromising the game's content. So far, he's not been successful, and the original trailers for Last Night from the game awards have been taken down.

The good news is that a number of friendlier publishers (who can't make themselves known publicly yet, lest the outrage mob target them as well) seem to have taken an interest, and there is hope that Soret may yet be able to salvage this mess.

What's chilling here is that this unquestionably was the work of agitators hoping to shut thus game down solely because its head once supported GG, and for now, they've succeeded. They worked behind the scenes to get publishers to pull out, encouraged funding to be pulled, and did everything they could to leave this game dead in the water. One of the best-looking, most innovative-seeming games of the year it showed up in, squashed by ideologues with an axe to grind.

Eventually, we're going to have to decide whether she's a worthless cum dumpster or some Machiavellian puppet master who chooses to live in a dumpy LA 1 bedroom.

That's easy: She's the former.

However, I feel the need to explain something: It's not that she's some schemer who intentionally wields this much power. Quinn does not have a long eye on anything beyond her need for more power and influence, which is why she focuses almost entirely on the immediate. She was, is, and forever shall be a BPD-afflicted whore.

So why does she somehow have so much power anyway, that her minor sperg-outs become mandates somehow?

The answer is that Quinn, due to her position, is absolutely surrounded by industry insiders who will happily latch onto her every fucking word. A comprehensive list of the various outlets and groups willing to proxy war on behalf of Quinn during GG alone would run me about 20 pages, but the TL;DR is that they went to the mat to defend Quinn because Quinn knew shit and they were trying to look out for their own.

The gaming press defended her because they were financing her, fucking her, friends with her, or some combination of the above. The Indie gaming circuit defended her because she was one of the many people they pushed through when the results of the likes of IGF were determined beforehand, and again, she was friends with everyone. Quinn being friends with multiple people at Feminist Frequency long before GG happened is also well-known. On outlying communities, like 4chan and Reddit, she was able to have control there because there were people willing to give her that control. No joke.

Quinn herself is neither smart enough nor charismatic enough to wield this kind of power intentionally. Most of Quinn's power has always been idiots willing to act in her stead, and this has not changed. In the CON Logs, a reoccurring theme is that despite how openly in collusion her whole little group is, and despite an arsenal of connections, they're all fucking morons.

Quinn doesn't order her army of orbiters to go fucking harass people solely on her say-so: they do that on their own to try to impress sempai and virtue signal their adherence to the cause. Quinn hasn't talked about Soret directly since her sperg-out last year, but her buddies have gone after him ever since. Jake Alley going after someone for life just because Quinn voiced disapproval of them one time is not a fucking coincidence: he's an embodiment of the sort of people Quinn's surrrounded with.

If she criticizes you once, every sperg on ResetERA, every half-ass connection she has, and every Jake Alley with an axe to grind is going to argue you're something that needs to be destroyed for daring to besmirch Saint Zoe of Quinn. It's not even that Quinn is intentionally fostering it (though I wouldn't be surprised if she does get off on it), it's that she has her cult of personality and they're happy to engage on her behalf.

Don't mean to burst any bubbles but looking into Hype Break, it's made by another lol-cow, Ian Miles Cheong.

One other possibility: a Machiavellian puppet master of a dumpster that was able to make connections if not more than she had once she was able to bank off a hashtag related to vidya gaem drama. That may be disregarded though since @Jaimas ninja'd.

She's the female, SJW Sargon of Akkad. Basically neither is very bright (and each continually makes an asshole of him/herself in public), but they have an army of idiots pushing their bullshit, as they shit up and destroy each new community they try to destroy.

Wait then why did both Wardell and Soret come out initially and say it wasn't SJW related? The way this is going makes it sound completely related.

Oh man, it's fucking depressing. I don't want her to have any power, and here you tell me that if I, hypothetically, was an indie game dev and she would somehow tie me to my KiwiFarms profile, I would be never able to publish my game? No, it can't be!
She is nobody! She can't have any influence on indie scene, she doesn't fucking deserve it at all!

Depends on who you ask.

Soret and Wardell both are saying that it isn't the reason - but no actual evidence on what it's actually been has been provided beyond the interviews provided, and you don't exactly need to be a psychic to see dozens of the usual suspects fucking gravedancing the project on Twitter and congratulating whatever nebulous party was responsible for the project failing for a week now.

Which are we to believe?

We've seen the likes of NeoGAF push for deplatformings in the industry before (Remember Jontron getting pulled from Yooka-Laylee), and they've shown the ability to sperg for years over the most vindictive, petty trash. And it's not limited to vidya; we've seen countless people on Youtube, in legitimate journalism, and more all get targeted by activists seeking to have them shut down. We've even had that done against the Farms by the likes of Vordy. In the absence of evidence, I err on the side of past experience.

So, I was truly shaken (no joke) and decided to investigate myself Tim Soret's problems.

It seems that his problem with funding is mostly caused by rookie mistakes, and it's not the woke crowd doing. His project is still very popular, and I think that the attack from Zoe squad only helped him in grand scheme of things.

However, it's hard for a young man to suddenly embody entrepreneurial spirit if so far he was James-Dean-vibe-wearing dreamy-eyes artiste. He got overwhelmed by popularity and just overspent in anticipation of bigger cash flow.

Anyway he just announced on his Twitter that the Last Night is not cancelled.

How very true, indeed. He keeps up his spirit, and all is fine. Quinn is still nobody, and I can finally go to sleep :)

That's some damned good info. Not to mention significantly less depressing.

When you describe it like that you make it sound like she's more charismatic than we give her credit for.

90% of this thread has been about how ugly she is, how unpleasant she is, how manipulative she is, how selfish she is, and how she never finishes anything. This isn't limited to the farms, but is well known by anyone paying even the slightest bit of attention. Yet time and time again we hear that she's suckered in some other unfortunate sap.

Unless she has some kind of professor x mind powers we don't know about then she must have some serious charisma in person.

obviously she threatens to flash them or hold them down and record their screams as she strips naked in front of them if they don't help her with what she wants

I've brought it up before back in other pages, but yeah she comes across as quite charming when she speaks in video. I don't find her attractive at all, but in non-GG related media she comes across like that quirky Hot Topic cashier she's clearly trying to be and can seem to carry on a conversation like a normal person.

Not exactly high praise, but then factor in the other side of the equation; how many of her lovers/friends/marks/cons/whatever are not only not average people, but totally stunted, socially retarded losers? Despite her best efforts, she's not exactly rubbing elbows with celebs. She comes across as fine enough if you're not familiar with her, but when you're a super sped? I can easily see how they'd become completely smitten with her and hoist her up as that weird kind of Nerd Queen she ended up being. Frankly, I say the resulting mess was significantly more their fault than hers, maybe 65/35.

When I say that Quinn doesn't have the kind of Charisma for it, I mean that while she can inspire loyalty, she has trouble keeping it for long. Former associates of Quinns have spoken about this, as have, hilariously enough, the many people Quinn's backstabbed.

Even Jake Alley, in his Autistic Zoe Post, talked about it:

Jake Alley said:
All of this came at a huge toll to everyone's mental health and personal safety, which Quinn was quite aware of, generally keeping up everyone's spirits with constant promises of sharing the absurd amounts of donations rolling in through Patreon, providing everyone with quality psychiatric care, safe housing for everyone who had been doxxed and was being subjected to extreme dangers like SWATing and becoming the focus of Breitbart hit pieces. Even promises of formally forming an organization that would give everyone full salaries and health coverage.

Most of the people these promises were being made to were desperate unemployed trans women a step away from homelessness, who had been rendered absolutely unemployable due to the attacks being delivered by Gamergate.

Nobody other than Quinn ever saw a single cent.

Quinn was also engaged in extreme emotional manipulation with everyone in the group. We exchanged private messages almost every day, where I was told Quinn trusted me more than anyone, would always have my back, would support me in dealing with my increasingly abusive home life, and asking me to take custody of a cat at a point where stalkers were necessitating a move across the country she might not be able to come along for. Years later I learned she had similar conversations with everyone else present, with the phrase "I love you" as a specific common thread, and platitudes of support for trans people's rights as appropriate.

Quinn can be exceedingly charming when she wants to be, and she knows how to manipulate individuals that already have an axe to grind, which most of the gaming press, indie gaming circuit, and Social Justice movement were. She knows how to make contacts, she knows how to network, and she knows how to use connections. However, she's not some big movement head like some others of her ilk - she's the leader of a cult of personality, and her mercurial nature means that any loyalty she initially inspires she tends to eventually burn off. Remember, she was the only one who benefitted from CON, despite there being close to two dozen people in it - and while you will no doubt have the likes of Jake who will continue to try to impress her despite being cast out by her, you will have plenty of others who go the IMC or Tessera angle and immediately turn on Quinn and her buddies.

But the thing is, the people backing Quinn I mentioned? The bulk of the dumbasses running attacks on her behalf right now? The Gr0bis, the Sebs, the ResetERA crowd? They back Quinn, but they follow her solely for ideological reasons. Her own accomplishments and indeed her own worth as a human being (or lack thereof) is immaterial to them. For the people who are true believers in the ideology, Quinn can do no wrong, and it has nothing to do with Quinn herself. Look at this shit, from when Quinn vacated her order of protection against Eron Gjoni after it became clear she may have perjured herself (And @Alan Pardew's infinitely funnier parroting of it), and it explains plenty.
