So... Because we can never escape from this shit, let's travel back to earlier at a previous E3, when indie darling The Last Night stole the show with its advanced graphics and unique setting idea. Unfortunately the developer behind it, Tim Soret, proceeded to get immediately attacked by Quinn, because OMG, HE SUPPORTED GOBBERTYGRAB ONCE. NeoGAF, back when it was still ResetERA, jumped on the bandwagon immediately, leading to months of real-time harassment against TIm Soret. Unfortunately, that shit has not ended, because now Soret's facing harassment again:
TL;DR: Quinn's earlier developed shitstorm led her buddies on Twitter to constantly attack Soret in an effort to shut down the development of his game. They succeeded, after her buddies in the gaming press declared him an evil misogynist, when several financiers of the game pulled out. While development is still moving forward, they've effectively hamstrung the game's development, so it's definitely coming out later, rather than sooner.
Even with no real power, and having left it entirely, she's a fucking blight on the industry.
Some more's been coming out regarding The Last Night, and the scenario's worsening.
The Last Night has suffered a full publisher pull-out, seemingly courtesy of Quinn and the outrage brigade. Industry-wide blacklists (coincidentally, ones set up by the likes of CON) and assholes friendly to Quinn and company have essentially destroyed the ability of this game to get published, and Tim Soret is currently looking to get funding for the game without compromising the game's content. So far, he's not been successful, and the original trailers for Last Night from the game awards have been taken down.
The good news is that a number of friendlier publishers (who can't make themselves known publicly yet, lest the outrage mob target them as well) seem to have taken an interest, and there is hope that Soret may yet be able to salvage this mess.
What's chilling here is that this unquestionably was the work of agitators hoping to shut thus game down solely because its head once supported GG, and for now, they've succeeded. They worked behind the scenes to get publishers to pull out, encouraged funding to be pulled, and did everything they could to leave this game dead in the water. One of the best-looking, most innovative-seeming games of the year it showed up in, squashed by ideologues with an axe to grind.
