I'd be legit curious on how he could screw up VI even harder given how easy it is by comparison to most of the other games in the series. Only thing I could think of is if he did the Lete loop over and over again to grind as a fuck you tbh.

In case you're wondering, he did mong out and let Cid die. I forget if he called him an asshole for dying, but I wouldn't be shocked if he did.

DSP has been the last two hours or so (at least every time I look at the screen) either sniping his way or grenading his way through missions. He is desperately trying to not actually get too close to any enemies.

Edit: Just as I say that, he gets into a massive firefight without taking cover, dies, then complains about the controls and says that the sniper rifle is the only accurate gun in the game.

I feel like it takes an immense amount of anti-talent to turn a job where you play video games for a living and can create your own schedule into a job where you are just grinding out the clock waiting for the end of the day like it's a shift in a crappy office job. I know it happens to be best streamers occasionally because sometimes you just have to get some hours in, but DSP makes it that way every single session. Way to go DSP.

It's his strict, autistic schedule that he has to abide by that makes it feel like a job. He HAS to play the game he scheduled himself to do. He will never switch games on the fly if he's not having a good time. Also his choice of games have been total dogshit because they are not the type of stream friendly games.

Grinding out side crap in GTA3, playing minecraft of all games, and doing another jrpg.
He makes so much promises too.

"It's going to be a chill stream with chat interaction!"

You get there and he sounds like he wants to die, and will hardly talk to his chat. He's miserable and as soon as he hits clockout time, he's out of there. Then will make a tweet on how great of a stream it was and to check out his youtube. And you know how that goes.

Who the hell wants to watch a 40+ hour RPG split up into 10 minute videos?? That literally sounds like the worst way to go about doing that ... and with Phil's ACK ACK ACK's blaring in my ears every THIRTY seconds???

Hard pass. Legendary game, though!

I tried playing games like DSP for a week. Did the whole schedule thing juggling between 3 games. It was miserable. I couldn't get into anything.

I didn't even play as long as him. I just played a couple hours after work and a couple of hours after dinner. It really did feel like work. I think that's why he does the scheduling and plays multiple games at once, to make it feel like a job.

The thing is while that would be easier than my 7-3, it would make me more stressed and miserable to do that everyday. Throw in the epically long prestreams where I talk about the same stuff and answer the same questions, I can see why he has developed some mental disorders.

Maybe it's because I don't spend that much time on Twitch, so maybe DSP really is right about RPG burnout, and I could be totally in the wrong, but shouldn't he be playing more Kingdom Hearts right now?

It's not like I want him to shit all over one of my favorite series, but if I was a streamer with KH3 being literally a decade in the making, I would be playing the hell out of the other nine games in the lead up to 1/29. Heck, they are all on one PS4 package right now ("The Story So Far") or I previously bought them all for PS4 with the "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + II.5 Remix" and "II.8 Final Chapter Prologue". It's not like DSP would have to bust out his old PS2 console.

Am I in the wrong here? Would a month straight of Kingdom Hearts burn people out?

At the very least, I can't imagine it would be worse than him playing GTA3, Minecraft, FF4, and a bunch of FPS that he openly hates.

Nope! Idk if he has said anything about the main KHs, but he has said he will not play any of the sub games, and if he has to play those games to make sense of the new game, then it's the devs fault for him not getting anything that happens in the new game!

I don't know shit about streaming (or being pleasing in general) but I think a month of the same series would only appeal to the big fans.

KH in particular would be problematic for Phil because of the Pandalee spergout. Ancient history but I'm sure people would try and troll him over it. Safe bet that DSP remembers it too. No doubt it'll come up in the KH3 stream.

Someone with a good handle on the lore and some production skills could do things like new overlays for each game, I guess. A "donate to cheer your KH trivia" thing would be fun, or featuring series fanart.
