Just thought it would be interesting to point out that Canada has 16 as age of consent and it used to be 14 until as recently as like 10 years ago but they bumped it up by two years due to the increase in online luring. I only recall cause they sent cops to all the schools to talk about it when it came to effect. The only exception is the 5 year rule so anyone within 5 years is legal so 13 and 18 is technically legal and so on. Relationships like that seemed common in high school with a lot of people. Also i believe people are able to apply for legal emancipation at 13 here. This guy is obviously just fishing for pedophile rights but it's just funny that the views he expressed were almost what the legal norm was here not too long ago

I won't and I'm not advocating lowering the age of consent to 12. I'm suggesting that it be possible for girls that young who are precociously promiscuous to apply for a license to a judge and only be granted it if she can demonstrate sufficient emotioanl maturity.
Most statutory rape is committed by family members and trusted adults at home, church or school. Most of the rape committed by strangers was by men under 30 who either didn't know or didn't care because the girl had come on to them.
