Nah, this is what he always does: play for sympathy points on Twitter, vaguely (and badly) address the mountains of videos made on the topic, wait a week or two for the drama to die down and for people to not even care about what happened, and then make a video detailing "his side of the story" and how he's absolutely right. Rinse, repeat, white-knights collectively attack the person, and everyone watches the ensuing carnage...until it dies down and the next controversy starts, that is.

And while he does take a neutral stance on the subject... He kinda goes for the "no youtuber has to put links in their description" at one point. Kinda ignoring the whole thing where Matpat talked about how his goal was to promote the game - so putting a link would only help at that point.

To be honest, While the possibility of this going on for a week and Matpat addressing it is there, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this dies down soon. I'm more than happy to be wrong about that, heck, it would make this thread all the more tantalizing.



But I'm just saying that waiting is all we can do at this point.

Ironic that I'm posting a video from the same Poketuber who is also dishonest himself. But I guess even he wants to call out MatPat for le views. He also disables the like and dislike bar. Classy.

As much as I don't like him? He makes very good points about MatPat and it's sad that Mat is still a piece of shit human being. Who doesn't link the games they talk about to the dev team or misname them on purpose?

Dear lord, do not get me started on how Hypocritical Verlisify is in this situation! Hell, the guy has been proven to steal content from other Poketubers, be just as disrespectful to game programmers (funnily enough, at the pokemon developers mostly), is just as block heavy as the SJWs he used to rail against, and not to mention... Is one of the most cancerous poketubers I've ever seen saying you're not a fan of the franchise if you had ANY sort of reservations about the Let's go games because of their names and concepts.

Funny enough, Verlisify used to suck Matpat's cock not too long ago.

Funny that he decided to block off likes and dislikes though - If you look at other channels that made videos on the subject- Mangakamen's, Staxalotl's, ProtoMario's... They have a relatively positive ratio. How hated do you have to be for such an easy topic to elicit you being disliked bombed?

This is something that I both despise and for the life of me can not understand.
Youtube has become a friend simulator. Hundreds of thousands of people buy into this shit where if you show them some kind of fake sincerity and feed them some saccharine details about your life they will think of you as a friend and pledge undying fealty to you like mideval serfs.
It really depressing and I have no idea why people fall for it.
It is a cynical ploy and the ultimate purpose is to dupe more rubes into buying merch and donating on patreon.

It does irk me that his drama doesn't come across as a huge issue to the internet. Sure, we could be going on about it for another week, but it'll die off and people will move on. I'm equally as irked at MatPat for thinking nothing he did was wrong. This definitely won't issue a video, but don't be surprised if he hasn't mentioned it once or twice in his gaming streams.

But this will die down like all the other autistic crap Mat has done.

This is a little dumb imo.

Yeah, the Undertale/Deltarune tags were deceptive and wrong, everyone knows MatPat is trying to make loads of money with all their FNAF content, but indie devs aren't entitled to a plug. If the focus was more about being deceptive I get that but people are holding their refusal to link the game with the same weight.
