Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

I said this as a joke a few pages back
I wonder what would happen if Mueller says that they got nothing on Trump.

If Mueller says that theres no collusion all that means is that the collusion is so strong that even Mueller himself is a russian agent, obviously.
Just more proof we live in a timeline indistinguishable from satire

Honestly i want to know what will happen to buzzfeed after this, i wouldn't mind if they got completely fucked .

I will never understand all the pearl clutching about people waiting to get paid for a few weeks. It is really not hard to get cash loans or credit in this country unless you've been behaving like an absolute idiot with money for a decade. How are so many grown adults so financially illiterate and inept? Shouldn't it bother us that people who don't know how to save or deal with banks run so much of our government? What would these people do if they had a private sector job and were laid off?

So let me flip this around and devils advocate the other way. Because you're not wrong, but there is another side that isn't them just being completely retarded with money.
The way government pay scales and promotions work, you are encouraged/forced to live practically paycheck-to-paycheck because your pay is low, you pretty much can't get fired, and your "savings" come to you later in the form of a pension & increased pay as you automatically climb the GS payscale.

Government employees are now out 2 paychecks. That's not great, but survivable. The major issue is there is no end in sight. There is also the possibility of manditory RIF kicking in next week (iirc). Basically they aren't making a lot of money, didn't have long term plans to not get paychecks, and the don't know when the money is coming back so they don't know how much to borrow.

Government jobs for federal employees, don't pay particularly well until you get to the double-digit end of the GS spectrum. What they lack in raw dollars they make up for in stability & ability to retire earlier and collect additional a pension (so you retire, get pension, and then get a private sector job until you can get social security); basically you can expect to make significantly more money at the end of your career. So most government employees are in debt to the hilt, on the expectation that you borrow now and make regular payments since you know at a minimum much money you can expect to collect for life.

This regular income stream (that is slow but steady) means banks LOVE giving Federal Employees mortgages & autoloans with low down payments because they know it will be paid off. The system basically makes the smart play to buy as much house as you afford and then some, so you can maximize the real estate value gains... until something like this comes up. So if you're a federal employee who's just getting started, just bought a house (and probably looking to start a family) this, especially after the Holidays, could be financially crippling bad luck to someone who was otherwise competent with finances.

(which is another reason the banks are desperately reaching out to federal employees "Oh god please file a hardship modification on your mortgage, please please please don't default please oh god please do it now we don't want you to go into foreclosure it is so much more profitable for us to keep getting paid on the regular once the money starts flow again, we don't want to foreclose and take a bath please.")

tl;dr
These people work for the government, and you are expecting them to be competent at anything?

I'll treat this as a serious question:
The reason is because the capital ships being built will replace ships slated to age out. The aging ships would require disproportionately expensive maintenance to keep in service. Ship building is also not something you turn off and on, especially DoD shipping. Ships take the better part of a decade to be designed and built, you have to hire & vet the builders, etc. Stopping a ship's construction is always more expensive than completing it unless you intend to permanently/near permanently shrink your navy by that ship.

When you see stuff like "NAVY HAS 8.2754 BALLIJION DOUBLE DOLLAR PONTOON BOAT" that is the total cost of the project. This includes things like spare parts, service, etc and is usually paid out over several years. Imagine if when you bought a new car, you had to pre-pay 10 years of insurance & routine maintenance in addition to the cost of the car. However, more importantly it includes guarantees of things like 'repair workers' and 'dry dock availability' should anything go wrong. Sometimes ships are out of service for months, or need to move while damaged to other states or other countries, to find a dry dock. And god forbid if any of the companies that made a part you need went under or shutdown the product line. Paying (well, lets be honest overpaying) for this access ahead of time ensures that the Navy isn't sitting thumb-in-ass waiting for a dry dock to open up.
This is why companies salivate over government contracts: The government always pays, and if you land one of these contracts its money that comes in on schedule for years. And if you make a product that exceeds the government's very easy to hit reliability standards, you profit. (and this isn't including all the other horseshit, like saying your supplies have increased their prices so you need to be paid more, you can pull to wring out more money)

Anyway, the reason the government deals with this horseshit and does all this because when you DON'T do it, this is what happens:

that makes sense then. thanks for the info.

The media lose their shit so easily over the least little thing.

Imagine the utter chaos if the following all happened in the course of a couple of days (assuming RBG passes away before then).

1. Drumpf gets the wall funding
2. Drumpf nominates a very anti-abortion MAN to SCOTUS
3. Mueller releases his report, and there is nothing but maybe a couple of minor infractions

We would be overwhelmed with the autism. It would be salt Mardi Gras.

Cardi B's a former stripper. She used to suck dicks for money. Lowest of the low society right here being trusted because she's a "singer"
To steal a Mitch Hedberg joke; Cardi B used to suck dicks for money. She still does, but she used to, too.

So the Buzzfeed report is completely inaccurate to Mueller's report?

Buzzfeed, fake news and lies? Say it ain't so!

Yes, you racist, homophobic, fascist, transphobic, insensitive straight white male.

Not TDS, but damn. This nigga really got pissed at the Buzzfeed fake news thing. Reasonably enough, but a one-hour sperg out. Sheesh.

Here is a prime example of TDS. Nothing wrong with disliking Trump or disagreeing with him, but when his mere continued existence causes you to behave like this guy, it's pretty safe to say you're a casualty of TDS.View attachment 642826

Reading posts and meltdowns like these, they make more sense when you replace "Trump" with "my dad".

People around the 'net are losing their increasingly tenuous holds on sanity over this recent shocker that isn't.

MUELLER IS A PUTIN PUPPET SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I’m emotionally drained. It has been exhausting these past two years. I have little reason to believe Trump can be defeated. All the way down to his fucking diet. He never excercises, eats like a pig and is entirely healthy at 72. Nothing goes wrong with this asshole.

Maybe, just maybe, the claims of Russian collusion are complete and total fabrications made to cover up for the loss of probably the worst candidate ever, and that Trump won fair and square, and that the real enemy of democracy is the media and talking heads that have kept the lie alive backed by a partisan witchhunt by the FBI.

It might be the worst Russiagate foul up. Why are those with TDS acknowledging this bungle so universally? Usually they just ignore it and eagerly wait for the next fake story that will totally destroy DRUMPF. I believe the reason so many are losing their minds now and fixating on this is that they got their hopes up the other day, they really had DRUMPF this time, this one is different from the 50,000 previous times (all of which were also different) and it didn't come true now they're furious. Someone must be the scapegoat for this.

I never believed the story, of course because it wasn't in Michael Cohen's plea.

They're losing their shit because Muller is, in their minds, 100% on their side to take down DRRRRRRUMPF. They never expected him to be impartial or for him to do research. Also, many had all their eggs in the Steele dossier basket, to include almost all the late night shows that made piss jokes (Hi Stephen Colbert!). Because all of it can be discredited, that means all the funny jokes are inaccurate too...oh no!
