Kamala Harris to run for president in 2020

(CNN)Kamala Harris announced Monday that she is running for president in 2020, arguing that the time has come to fight against what she views as the injustices of the past two years of the Trump presidency.

In a brief video from her campaign that was released on social media Monday morning at the same time she appeared on ABC's "Good Morning America," Harris called on her supporters to join with her to "claim our future."
"Justice. Decency. Equality. Freedom. Democracy. These aren't just words. They're the values we as Americans cherish. And they're all on the line now," Harris said in the video, teasing her official kickoff in her birthplace of Oakland next Sunday...

It continues, with the CNN article praising her. Gag me with a spoon!

i think she will lose and trump will be president again!

It's going to be a complete recreation of the 2004 campaign because the same people run the Democrat party and I'm going to giggle at all the "How is everyone this retarded?" headlines woke media will put out on November 4th 2020.

Its amazing how many still haven't learned the lessons of 2004 and 2012.
Having no platform other than "Fuck the other guy" and having said platform delivered by who ever is both the biggest establishment whore and who hates the other guy the most is not a winning formula.

Yeah just having a platform of "Fuck the other guy" is guaranteed to make you lose.

Dole, Kerry, Romney, and Clinton had run on this platform which ruined all their chances of winning the presidency.

The only other way to guarantee losing the presidency is if you are defending the previous incumbents bad decision making like McCain and Clinton both did.

you are wondering who are the current candidates:

  • Julian Castro (D), a former U.S. secretary of housing and urban development and San Antonio mayor, formally announced his candidacy on January 12, 2019.[4]
  • John Delaney (D), a former U.S. representative from Maryland, filed to run for president on August 10, 2017.
  • Tulsi Gabbard (D), a U.S. representative from Hawaii, announced that she had decided to run for president on January 11, 2019.[5]
  • Kirsten Gillibrand (D), a U.S. senator from New York, announced that she was running for president on January 15, 2019.[3]
  • Kamala Harris (D), a U.S. senator from California, announced that she was running for president on January 21, 2019.[1]
  • Richard Ojeda (D), a state senator from West Virginia, filed to run for president on November 11, 2018.
  • President Donald Trump (R) filed to run for re-election in 2020 on January 20, 2017.
  • Elizabeth Warren (D), U.S. senator from Massachusetts, announced she had formed an exploratory committee on December 31, 2018.[7]

Thats way too many people way too soon, thats going to hurt them pretty bad if they dont find some sort of central candidate to fall behind.

Nah, look at the republican field last time. The primaries and debates haven’t even started yet. That’s what they’re supposed to do, give people a chance to listen and pick the candidate they like best. Not just have the party leadership anoint somebody. If the GOP had their way Yeb! would’ve lost gracefully to Clinton.

nah, it will work just fine as long as all the would-be candidates support the winner after dropping out. and i don't see a reason why any of them would do to their nominee what the #nevertrump republicans did to trump, because none of the running dems are anywhere near as controversial as trump was
Now if it’s August 2020 and they still have 16 people running and fighting with each other, that’s different.

Democrats have a lot to go on, but they keep focusing on the wrong issues (like illegal immigration, holy shit stop harping on that).

It's been made perfectly clear that illegal immigration is the hill they've chosen to die on.

They've shown again and again and again that their top priority is putting the needs and wants of foreigners before the well-being and security of American citizens. It's an insane strategy, but one they've clearly decided to go all in on.

Well I could see Gabbard, Harris, and Warren stirring controversy as Gabbard has right wing views, Harris was a cop and is an Establisment Dem, and Warren is too far left for moderate democrats.

My opinion on Harris has changed since my last post in another thread. The Democrats -- no matter who they run in 2020 -- will lose. Americans vote overwhelmingly with their wallets, and the economy is doing quite well right now. Few will care about the niche issues the democrats have been running on while the economy is good. In contrast, the economy is exactly why the dems won in 2008 when we were in recession the year prior.

People are speculating that she will be the chosen one by the DNC, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, Silicon Valley and Hollywood due to her close ties with Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and pro-corporatist/pro-establishment voting record, unless if Biden also chooses to run.

This anti-Russian xenophobia is out of control. I don't know if Trump "colluded" or not but the people pushing this line are going to get us into a war all because IT WAS HER TURN if they ever get in power. It has delighted me to no end to see the US's leading liberal party, who regularly virtue-signal their supposed antiracist credentials, quite openly adopt an irrational fear of foreigners as one of the most important tenets of their party.

Kamala Harris is an Abolish ICEer too.

Two more years of this radical open borders idiocy, and I can't imagine that anybody but the most batshit-looney leftist isn't going to be sick to death of it.

I doubt that. but thats her main problem, she has to run far left ideas to not be seen as to rightwing in the party and than run far to the right against trump. that cant work.

The Democrats have been proven unelectable since Reagan, hence 1986 amnesty with the broken promise condition of border security, which wasn't partially realized until ten years later, when the Republicans took control of Congress and forced Clinton to approve a half-assed fence. So if they didn't honor that condition, for the reasons amnesty for foreigners and anchor babies is how they get votes to flip into power, what makes people believe Democrats are serious about border security today?

This claim is laughable given that most major corporations in the US are progressives and wouldn't be seen dead endorsing Trump (and have actively opposed him). Do you live under a rock?
It reminds me of when you reminded Occupy Wall Street tards that Obama was owned by Goldman Sachs, you were called a racist.

Major companies will donate and endorse whoever spreads their asshole open wide enough in a back room to fight for lower taxes and cheap foreign labor, the latter of which Trump has called out and is rich enough he can't be bought out like so many Republicans in the past because he isn't in Washington to line his pocket.

Any halfway competent political opponent will hammer her on the Daniel Larsen case, where a man was declared "actually innocent" and ordered released by a federal judge and her office tried to keep him in prison for the rest of his life (and indeed managed to keep him in prison for four additional years past his release order) because he missed a filing deadline.

This is my dream come true. The worst outcome in my opinion was Queen Bitch came back and shut everyone down. I want a herd of loonies shit flinging and yelling as exceptionally as they can. It was great on the last two elections on the Republican side, and I think will be even more entertaining with the current political zeitgeist. I really hope some far left political loonie throws their hat in too, gets some traction, and really drives the discussion off the cliffs of sanity.

i think she will lose and trump will be president again!

They don't have anyone who can beat Trump. The only way they can win is by cheating.

Too bad they ran Hillary Clinton last time, I think Bernie Sanders actually would have whomped Trump. I think the dude is a bad fit *now* thanks to him letting Clinton punk him out, but back then I think he could have won. You can't sell your soul to the DNC and come out human, Sanders is just a shell now.

She is undoubtedly the best puppet for the job. She might even win, unless things start to unravel.

There is only one thing that I can think of that will stop her from being president.
Last cycle, someone asked candidate Trump if he would consider using an atomic weapon on a European target (ignoring the implication that nukes are for dirt people only,) and he said "Yes. Europe's a big place." That was the moment I knew that Donald Trump would be the President of the United States of America. Because that was a statement of extreme will. It showed that nothing was off the table when it came to winning. And there are so many figurative atomic bombs of information out there that Trump could set off, if he still has the will to win.

So, if the DNC works its little schemes to nominate Kamala Harris, and if she attacks Trump in a way that really pisses him off, he may well go scorched earth on the whole political machine. They've been trying to exhaust him like a picador for two years now, but all he needs to do is sink a horn into their tender flesh and that's the match. It's gonna be a show.

Honestly, I could live with Tulsi.
Agreed, she at least has some appealing views, but considering she isn't "DRUMPF" 24/7 and cares about the country, she can't get elected.

She is undoubtedly the best puppet for the job. She might even win, unless things start to unravel.

I am gonna stop you right there because she seems very divisive in the DNC among voters due to her association with cops and being married to a white man.
