If you are a streamer you want to keep up a positive image. You have to show a will to be positive and peaceful. Even if there comes someone you normally don't like, try it. As long as the participants stay friendly there is no reason to be a toxic piece of dung. Maybe you will start to like each other. This is proper damage control.

Starting streaming really was his biggest mistake because more of his personality was revealed. Now all these incidences and dramas happen on stream because he's shit at interacting with people. If he just did Youtube videos, all that would be gone. Yeah he'd still have a reputation as the shitty gamer guy because he'd have no stream chat to hold his hand but people would actually watch him to see him fuck up. But he's too prideful/egostical to be willing to have that reputation. He's willing to be good at games even if it means his shit is boring, and even if it means that every stream some drama happens because he puts his foot in his mouth. He'd rather be asshole guy than shitty gamer guy.

ETA: this is probably my favorite TIHYDP. It's almost no time at all before they're sniping at one another and there are some moments when she really cucks him. He starts doing this thing where he talks much louder than her to drown her out because he's too much of a pussy to tell her to shut up or cut the stream. It's one of the strongest examples we have of what their relationship was really like and how Phil deals with face-to-face conflict, along with how much of a shrinking violet he is when it comes to women.

If I remember, most of the time he wasn't even talking over her, he was just shouting 'BAPEDI BAPEDI BAPEDI' to entirely drown her out anytime she had something to say. Like he just started shouting gibberish he thought was 'Italian sounding'. There were still several moments where she's calling him an idiot and can't believe how bad he is at that game or gaming in general. It's a pretty epic TIHYDP as Phil just gets wrecked over and over and, because Phil essentially shut her up, all she did was laugh at him fucking up and being terrible and call him out on his excuses.
