Sounds like a good idea. There's a giant island of trash in the Pacific Ocean that's larger than Hawaii. Yeah, but if women don't work, "they're parasites living off of men and draining them of their resources". They also seem to think that being a housewife/homemaker is a breeze compared to a paying job. I'm not a stay-at-home spouse/parent, but even I know that statement is ridiculous. Making lunch/dinner just right for your husband, cleaning the house top to bottom, making sure you get everything that's on the shopping list - and if you're a mom - dealing with arguing/demanding/screaming/crying kids after school (or all day if they're home-schooled or under 5), among other things every day sounds like quite a challenge.

I'm not entirely dismissive of the MGTOW community though, simply because I think they're partly onto something, even if they don't properly understand what that 'something' is themselves.

There is a lot of truth to the idea that many men lack a sense of purpose and self-worth that isn't tied to what they can provide for women, and there is honestly something to be said for the idea of a hypothetical community that could help men find just that. It's really a shame that no such community seems to exist, because it would probably improve the mental health of a lot of these guys, and likely improve their general behavior and attitudes towards women in the process.

To me, the whole "movement", loosely, is a social barometer.

Kind of like how you can tell if the economy is doing good or not in an area based on the relative sales of six packs and lotto tickets and per capita narcotics arrests, the number of "likes" a given MGTOW poster gets and relatively visibility of the more loony sects inside the movement are indicative of how much social strain the average guy is feeling due to modern socjus meddling or economic strife or social change or whatever it is that's eating away at us today.

The movement itself is useless and self-defeating, but, it's overall "health" is still a valid indicator of how many people have reached a serious crisis point when you assume that every one loud guy declaring he's giving up on society probably represents a silent group of 50 or so who've thought the same thing, just less militantly.
