The art's all fine and dandy until you realize that Mob is actually Japanese and not black.

You know it's really funny they remove his Japanese features about a story of a Japanese boy living in a Japanese town. And that said story has ties to a lot of mythical Japanese creatures. And somehow they thought it was okay to make him have darker skin and look more racist despite no reason being said otherwise.

This is my main problem with things like these. Racial headcanons are not in itself a bad thing, but the problem is that it's never about exploring a different aspect of that character. It's about how this character makes them feel uncomfortable so they got to "redo" the art to compromise for it. How many black Jojos and MHA have we seen in this thread? Did they even have any thought put into them? Any backstory other than "I fixed it?"

And really it's a shame because when these same people complain about representation it's never about creating newer works, or upholding older works, or even trying to direct attention to those new works in order to give people a way to connect to their culture.

It's about how they can't relate to x because they don't look like them. And how everyone else is wrong for criticizing them. This is why I can't stand these types of works. They aren't built from an earnest place. And yeah, I can completely understand feeling isolated in a place that you don't have a lot of resources to consume about your culture. I can understand wanting that connection, but dammit this is not how you do it! You don't shit on another country's culture to satisfy your own insecurities.

OP made a mastectomy and made this cursed drawing to illustrate what anyone doesn't want to see. You'd think they would know better than to draw themselves in the probably-most-disgusting-situation-they-ever-went-through but i'm sure they don't look pleasant daily either.
I think that's the point, because this is the reality of what being trans looks like and what you actually have to go through if you're serious about transitioning. Nobody on tumblr tells you all the actual hard stuff about transitioning, just the flower crowns and pride flags and masectomy scars that are ten times larger than what actually happens.

Or any trans community on tumblr that tries to tell you the information you need with sources (there are some I found out of curiosity that actually backed up their sources for once) are promptly ignored. Or someone called them transphobic because they explain the facts about transitioning that people probably don't want to hear, like..risks about binding or medicine that can fuck you up or how heavy scars shouldn't be a thing nowadays because there is better technology to combat it.

But remember, this is a fetish to some people so of course they shun the people who actually want to help inform others transition safely while crying there is no place for help. Only on Tumblr.

Imagine being so insecure in your own identity that you have to have it validated every other minute.
That is the problem with, not just the racial SJWs, but the troon SJWs as well. They've established a narrative about themselves and the world around them, but they doubt it so much that they need to have it reinforced- they need to stick their fingers in their ears every time something comes along that points out flaws in their ideologies.
They decry supremacist ideology when said ideology comes from the designated hate groups (straight white men, Nazis, TERFs, etc.)- all while ignoring that their own ideology is supremacist in nature: blacks are superior to Asians and whites, trans are superior to non-trans, women are superior to men, Islam is superior to non-Islamic beliefs, and so on.
But they are so insecure in their supremacist ideology that they need to have it reinforced- because, I think, that deep down, they realize their hypocrisy and the hollowness of their beliefs. But they have staked so much on those beliefs- their livelihood, their reputations, their very identity- that they need those ideologies to be true. For them to admit otherwise would be to admit they're living a lie.
