The part of this that I can't get over is that he seemed to moderately enjoy it (relative to the games that he hates but continues to play, I mean). If he had just tried it, he could have been having a decent time and riding a hype wave. He has a point that hype can be bullshit, but sometimes hype comes from the fact that a game is actually good.

It's like his revelation that Minecraft is decent, years after shitting on it. He insists that he has moved past that, but every time the same thing comes up, he treats it the same way, while his fans scream at him and he mocks them. Not only does he just flat out insist on being unique and a maverick even when it is harmful, the narcissism also blocks him from learning anything here. He still shits on people streaming Apex. But he's about to play it again. Maybe they just like it?

I still don't understand how it isn't easier to just do it in a table or Excel or something. So weird.

Anyway, while the retrospective being from his old vlog channel is moderately lame, I'm hoping it digs up some lore nuggets that otherwise would have been lost. Maybe if we're lucky, he will wrongly put faith in his former self and miss screening a few racial slurs or something. This is probably going to be ideal for detractors, given that there is new info on the table, but it's probably still going to be so boring that I doubt the stream will be a 'success' for him.

The game is a non factor. Phil thinks people are getting paid to shill the game and he wasn't invited so fuck the game and people streaming it. It's similar to the health insurance rant recently. Phil thinks there are people getting free health insurance and he isn't so health care sucks. It doesn't matter Phil struggles to draw over 500 people to a stream or he makes more then enough money to pay for health insurance Phil feels entitled to it just because it exists.

you know what i just thought about, phil says hes not a childrens entertainer. but he streams and makes gameplay videos, of video games. i dont know a single person over 30 who gives 2 fucking shits about that kind of stuff.

he says hes not a childrens entertainer, but picked a job a clown would fulfill. you wanna talk about not being a childrens entertainer? a stand up show. takes some thought and experience to really comprehend well thought out witty jokes. and unless the audience was 9 year olds, his fart jokes probably wouldnt pass

No idea how he managed to get that into his picture, because it shouldn't be visible on screenshots you take with the program - that's... kind of the whole point of it.
Also no idea why this particular options windows is of such low quality. Almost looks like he used .gif at some point while making his schedule screenshot.

ALSO, why on earth use a divider in your schedule, only to have it continue partially onto the next line? Like... how do you not spot that? I mean, it's a miracle he didn't spot the colored options window, but at some point he had to manually hold down "-----" to create the divider, and see that he held it down too long? My god, for some reason this really baffles me.

Anyway... the options window it shouldn't even show up in the first place. Maybe it's a sign of his PC being really slow or something. I can't imagine DSP maintaining his PC to keep it healthy and updated with the latest drivers to make sure it keeps running without funky shit like this. He most likely is running old graphics card drivers, doesn't clean out his PC from both a software (uninstalling shit you don't need, clean out disk space etc.) and a hardware (clean out dust every couple of months) perspective, and all that kind of stuff. I also think that's the reason his laptop is running quite shitty, which he often complains about, quite obviously hoping someone donates him a new one. Because that would be easier than actually putting in effort to maintain it. That's not how DSP rolls. Expect it to work with minimal effort on your part and just throw it away like a used condom when it's failing on you.

Holy crap, I had to get this out of my system, I guess... This was an episode in the series Things That Annoy Me About DSP's Schedule Images on Twitter.

Usually, you would have a content creator who starts out making videos for a younger demographic, and when he himself grows up, his viewer base grows up with him.

For DSP this is impossible.

He is aiming for an audience that he can easily manipulate into giving him money, easily entertain with ass and fart jokes, lie to routinely without being called out and generally act like a daddy to mask how insecure he is.

He's the very embodiment of a children's entertainer.

it leads me to believe that, as outside observers, we have now come to the crossroads of absolute certainty.

There are only 2 things that can possibly be true at this point....

1. He really is almost completely fucking broke (minus the $10k he's going to get any day now...) and tensions in the Patreon Palace between the two soulmates are getting extremely high (she forced him start start selling his DVDs which, considering how much time he spends sitting in front of his TV on his down time, was not easy for him to do).

2. He is lying.

I'm not buying it. Every time he cries about having no money and does his Reemergencies I remember that argument he had on Twitter when he bragged about shopping at places like Trader Joes because they have higher quality stuff. People asked him if he was so broke why was he buying expensive, fancy shit when he could just shop at Walmart and save a lot of money. His response was a very triggered "Who ever said I was BROKE?! Yeah money's tight and the bills are piling up but I never said I was BROKE. There's a HUGE difference!"

That right there, imo, was when he exposed himself. Anyone else in that situation, whether they're actually broke and losing everything, or running a scam, would keep up the act of them needing money. Either because they truly need it or because it's an easy way to keep the cash flowing that's what they need to do to get more money coming in. But Phil will straight up cry poor, tell you he's gonna lose his home and how he has no way out, every single day, month after month, but you better dare not look down on him! He's still a big shot business owner who's just having a bit of a rough time.

If your ego takes precedence over your own survival then either you're not that bad off, or you're mentally ill.

maybe again he is too proud to shop at walmart and uses the 'they are a horrible company' excuse
