Because at this point the Republican's knee-jerk fighting against DACA have made it a partisan issue, instead of stupid shit that needs to be fixed so that we aren't wasting resources hunting down and deporting "illegals" who didn't choose to come to the US and have lived here virtually their entire life. Democrats won't accept a deal like that because they don't want the Great Big Beautiful Slab of Concrete, and Republicans won't except because large sections of their constituency have had it propagandized to them that DACA is Evil Liberal Fascist Communism and will see anyone who endorses it as a traitor.

1. You're falsely comparing a country with a corporate amusement park. Most children who would qualify for DACA have poor Spanish skills. Some have no connections to their birth parents due to being smuggled across by a coyote. They would have next-to-no ability to support themselves in Mexico, and would be being punished for something they did not choose (which our own legal code views as wrong).
2. Your second statement is so patently absurd it makes me doubt you aren't interested in an actual exchange of views and want to just engage in tribal signaling. Actual open borders is a fringe view in the Democratic party, and not punishing immigrants for felonies is so stupid I defy you to find a single lawmaker of any position who actually argues for it.

1. Alright, so you believe that these people residing in the US since (most likely) they could first form memories doesn't mean they should be treated differently. I see that as cruel, but you likely see me as naive.
I'm not saying that we should dissolve the border, or even that we shouldn't deport children who are now being smuggled across the border: just that these people who are in a specific, unfortunate circumstance, be given a path to legal citizenship, ideally through military service or government work.
2. Ignoring your childish name-calling... Hillary and Pelosi are career politicians (i.e. a serpent) who will say whatever she needs to to get the result she wants. Obama, the Democrat's golden boy, was tough on border security without making a big show of it. Please produce evidence of the Democrats directly trying to force pro-open-border policies (not lip service)through the House/Senate. Note that open-borders is not:
-Work visas
-DACA
-Disagreeing with the Great Big Beautiful Wall

I believe a good majority of them still think it's a literal amnesty like what Reagan did when they amended the new immigration laws during his administration, and that any illegal can just go up to a DHS building and apply for one. Essentially, they can't be bothered to know who they're against, they just see the word "illegal" and screech RULE OF LAW

Both sides are in the wrong, but man, Pelosi needs to be open to actually compromise instead of shaking her head and instantly saying no to ideas. She didn't come off well in her rebuttal and in the video where she was filmed meeting with Trump. Both look stubborn but Pelosi comes off as being stubborn because she hates Trump so much. Which is a bad look.
