Now, we post updates about his facebook posts whenever he updates it. Skyraider91 went out posting pictures of the house while it was under construction. The CWCVille library has whole playlists of Chris's phone calls that I doubt he himself would've agreed to have uploaded on the Internet. And what Clyde Cash and Blue Spike did? Are they not considered weens for tricking Chris into having phone sex with a minor? Hell, wouldn't that mean Clyde essentially groomed a minor to do this? What makes us "kiwis" any better than the weens? I'm not trying to ask us to do some soul searching, but I thought it was something worth bringing to our attention.

I'm not sure the prohibition against "facebook stalking" is relevant anymore. Chris is a celebrity and you can't really stalk a celebrity's public facebook content.

Virginia is a one-party consent state when it comes to recording telephone conversations.

Also why do you think it was Clyde (if anyone) who "groomed a minor"?

One thing I didn't get about CWC and his JenkinsJinkies video was that he thought in order to become a troll he had to file an application like it was for a part time job or part of some kind of initiation. I may not be well versed in the trolling game, nor do I really wish to be, but I'm fairly certain trolling doesn't work like that. At least, if you're not a Ween or something it doesn't.

Chris doesn't understand why the trolls were picking on him in the first place, I'm not surprised he imagined trolling to be more intricate and sinister than it actually was.

The recording of phone messages is definitely sheisty, I'm surprised Virginia is a one-party consent state -probably so the cops can collect evidence without pesky warrants.

Facebook stalking is a gray area. Threatening messages and idiotic sock-puppetry is pathetically ween, but I don't see how it's our fault Chris can't stop talking about himself in a medium where privacy is impossible to maintain.

As for CC and BS... The CWCki entry on BlueSpike takes Clyde down a peg. An ED editor is quoted in that article, basically saying Clyde went way too far(!) and had painted a target on his own back. This of course assumes that Clyde was one person.

No, it's not. Maybe I don't use the word properly, and I know many people don't, but I see it as this:

Ween is when trolling is about you. When the aspect and fun of being involved in fucking with someone comes from distinguishing yourself. Marvin and DeagleDad aren't "weens" because they don't brag about what they've done. They understand it's not, in the scope of the world, a real accomplishment. It's a form of entertaining, something reaped without consent from another person, but it's not really a bragging right -- no matter how substantive.

Coty Smith, for instance, literally could not stop bragging about how he had scammed a retarded man out of thirty bucks. When told to keep quiet, he refused. He literally could not keep his dick in his pants and waved it around at anyone who was around him because he was just so fucking proud of himself. Marvin doesn't do that, I didn't even know his role in things until months after I started hosting.


The nature of Chris has changed from trolling to really just observing. I don't think Chris is being trolled anymore. The last real effort was essentially decapitated. I can't control what other people do, but I've stopped glorifying it. Chris communicates, knowingly, through publicly available Facebook messages. Usually, I get the sense he's talking direcltly to us. That's not really stalking.

I'd say making a fake Facebook account to get "ins" with Chris would be over the top. However, if you're being genuine, I don't think that's bad. I'm a lot more tolerant of Watermelon now, because he's done exactly what I would do with Chris. He listens, makes no judgements, and asks questions. I used to fucking hate the guy but he's offered an ear to Chris and basically just waited. It's hard to really call him out as a ween when all he did was try to be friendly.

There are certainly a range of activities and discussions on this board. I think almost everyone is aware of that, and a lot of it was brought up in a thread recently about the closure of an inner circle board. Among others, skyraider was brought up as something some people are weirded out by.

If you don't like something you can not participate in it, or bring up specific concerns when appropriate, or just leave the board.

As for whether trolls are weens, "troll" and "ween" are just words. I think discussions about "white-knights are just trolls" or "trolls are just weens" or "so-and-so was/wasn't a troll" are kind of silly and arguing semantics. Ween is a word for trolling that is silly, dumb, pointless, or attention-seeking. If you think that some classic "trolls" fit into those categories, I suppose you think they are "weens". But all you are doing is using one word to describe the fact that you were not a fan of their trolling attempts.

That's a good point -though it's hard to get into the minds of "trolls" and declare "well, it's cool because it was for laughs, he wasn't compensating for his own problems like A-Log and Pumpkinspice."

No... I think you were right from the start. WEW is often mean to Chris, I think he enjoys having a bigger loser to "help"/kick around.

I don't think Anonimo was making any kind of judgement about anyones actions. He was just saying "How come this is "ween" and this other, very similar thing isn't?" Like I (pretty much said) it's a matter of personal taste.

Considering Chris was still at his height, he had energy, he was putting himself out on the dating scene (i.e. people weren't coming to him and forcing themselves on him), I'd say that is a poor assessment. Again, I had no idea he was the pickleman until months after I started hosting.

I don't know how old "Clyde" actually is, but when you're telling someone who's in his early teens to do something like have phone sex, isn't it a little fishy?

I read your posts Null, and I realize I am probably late for the party. I understand the Ween page was also a recent addition to the CWCki and is something that could use a little revision. I certainly think what BlueSpike did was probably weenish, but that's my personal bias against him. P-Logic has more or less clarified what I meant. When I was reading the Ween page, it felt a little...I'm not quite sure what the word was, but it seemed to me like it was exalting us, while throwing everyone else under the bus. I mean no disrespect to Marvin, and I dont consider him a ween, since he doesn't brag and more often than not makes very informed arguments regarding Chris. Not once have I seen him be all EPICK TROLLING OWNZORZ!!!1!!!1!

No, Clyde wasn't giving instructions to Bluespike. The stuff Blue did was his idea.

The little brother suicide idea was dumb in retrospect. It'd be hard for anyone to react properly in that situation, let alone Chris.

Part of the motivation for Ryan Cash's death was to make Clyde a more complex character. Chris thinks his enemies are just jerks who hate on him just because they're big meanie doodyheads. So giving Clyde a human reason to pester Chris would theoretically make things more interesting.
