Under any under circumstance I'd agree with you, but for Jazz specifically, I fear that making him wait his entire childhood to "have a vagina" may have messed him up even worse. This has been something he has been anticipating for pretty much his entire conscious life. The longer the wait was dragged out, the greater his excitement at the approach of the surgery became. Women don't compare vaginal depth because their vaginas stretch to accommodate entire babies and then (mostly) return to their original shape afterwards. It isn't a fixed depth. From what I've gleaned in these threads it's a little of both probably. Losing depth seems to be inevitable because the body really really wants to close the neovag, but also trans people have trouble sticking to the proper dilation schedule because it's extremely painful and unpleasant.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again. The dirty little secret of the trans community is they don't consider you a real trans until you get the 'chop'. A bigger secret is many trans don't do SRS, but are pressured into it. Also, complications like the ones Jazz are going through, quite publicly, are usually hidden. So ironically, Jazz is doing trans people a service. Because typically they're so pressured to do this, they only find out during/after. And then when they find out that, shocker of shocks, just because you cut a body part off doesn't mystically change your own body and they have this wound they have to take care of for the rest of their life, they eat a bullet.

Another dirty little secret is SRS doesn't change trans survival rates either, nor rates of depression or anxiety or body dismorphia. They remain the same. So Jazz has been hyped up their entire life that this will make everything better, they're going to find out, no, they're not. Its not going to make anything better. And you're going to be stuck as this sexless abomination for decades until they invent something better, so you have to bank on that before you put a fucking gun in your mouth and blow the back of your head out.

For females, if they stop being trans and go off them, they might not get breast development and end up sterile and androgynous looking. Luckily enough, their problems can be mitigated with surgery (except for the infertility). For males, you get rewarded with something no one wants to talk about: a micro-penis. Which means not enough skin for pretty much anything outer. Jazz is bratty and immature, but because of being brought up rich and by a total narcissist it is hard to tell if it has anything to do with being stunted by drugs.

There was the suggestion of giving Jazz topical testosterone to inflate his micropenis a little bit so that there was more tissue. He shut that down immediately on the grounds that he'd get a man's voice IIRC. Still would've been a lack of tissue issue, however.

My mom watches it as well and is like "look at her friends that look and sound like boys while she got early intervention!" No. His friends may be jealous that he got puberty blockers from an early age but those manly looking girls don't realize that they are the lucky ones here. At least they got to have puberty. At least they get a libido. At least they didn't have their autonomy robbed as a toddler. Trans people should not get the early intervention like autistic children should get to be "normal" (which I think is what my mom's perspective is from). I mean, changing name? Fine. Permanent things like HRT or SRS? That is something that an adult should decide what to do to themselves, not a child.
