To my eyes, there's no question that the drugs have caused Jani's developmental delays. There's a good reason why most drugs are not given to children, especially not long-term, and that good reason is because of the effects on the developing brain.

Good to know that the Jani thing was on the radar! To the Michael bashers....Even if he had the funds to get a lawyer to fight Susan, do you really think she would have abided by anything legal.?.she has not so far..To speak with someone you first have to know their language...and Susan's is MEDIA....So the Dr Phil thing was the Best route to take.

She's saying it's all a conspiracy. She was proving that Clozaril is the best drug ever and the Godfather didn't like that, so him and Dr Phil made a plan to shut down her channel so they can keep prescribing newer drugs instead of the 1950s shit.

I'm curious...Who did the parent report part of the evaluation? Was it Susan? Because that could skew the ADOS results, if Susan was deliberately rating everything low on the report, if she just missed the cutoff it could be due to Susan's answers.

When Jani was younger, it was both Michael and Susan. For the 2017 one, she was old enough to self report.

Probably because Jani doesn’t display the social hallmarks that are the criteria for diagnosis, and the ones she does are more accounted for as a global developmental delay (which is likely caused by a combination of medication and poor parenting). She probably would have been classified as having general developmental delays and/or ADHD as a kid if she hadn’t been force fed dangerous antipsychotics and had decent parents. ADHD and autism have similar etiologies and are often co morbid, so her stimming, sensitivity, and synesthesia could have definitely been consistent with that diagnosis.

Also the truth is that sometimes people don’t fit neatly into diagnostic categories and we give them the label necessary to receive services but treat the individual based on their individual constellation of symptoms. I do wonder if that resident gave her the COS diagnosis in order to bill insurance for inpatient stay. As far as we know, her COS diagnosis was never confirmed by anyone else. And we know the medication that followed was all Susan’s doing.

I'm smelling the excuse she's going to use for not getting Bodhi evaled. Jani and Corey need to be there for "insert bullshit reason here" and if they won't pay then nobody is going. This is too important.

Thank you so much for answering my question. I think it will shock many people who think autism was the root of some of Jani’s issues, but it’s really all Susan. The fact that even recent assessments show Jani isn’t autistic demonstrate autism has never been the issue, it’s abuse and meds 100%. I had feared after years of the drugs damaging her developing brain that she might end up with a incorrect autism diagnosis. (Susan also likes the fact that autism gets Bodhi more free babysitters.)

Jani intellectual and developmental delays are definitely due to the YEARS of taking the anti-psychotic medications. Mike will have difficulty getting psychiatrists in CA to say so because it’s akin to accusing other doctors of mal-practice and negligence. Mike would have a strong medical malpractice case against some of Jani’s doctors, esp the ones who Rx clozaril and Thorazine.

Jani’s obvious intellectual delays track with the increasing amounts of medication. Susan totally horrible parenting didn’t help either but the meds took away her intelligence and independence. Without the meds Jani would a very rebellious teenager telling Susan to go fuck herself and running away from home. By 13 or 14 she probably would have begged to go live Mike.

Jani was a smart kid, without the meds she would have started to reject her crazy mother’s behavior. She would have had severe emotional issues to deal with due to Susan’s abuse but with the right guidance she could have come out alright. As a baby and small child she was extremely bright active child, she had NO developmental delays at all. In fact she demonstrated high intelligence. Susan robbed her of a independent life because she chose to use drugs to deal with tantrums and disobedience instead of parenting and patience.

I’m at a loss for words to describe the sheer cruelty and evilness of Susan. She robbed her daughter of a fulfilling and independent life because she couldn’t be bothered to parent and wanted to be on TV. At least most abused kids can manage to escape as teenagers, but Susan has permanently imprisoned Jani in a damaged brain. Brain damage that Susan worked tirelessly to ensure. Susan should be put in jail right next to other moms who kill their children. She effectively destroyed Jani’s bright mind and all her potential.

Re: Jani's diagnosis, schizophrenia is not a death sentence, no matter what Susan says. With good care and some luck, you can live well with schizophrenia.

Jani can keep her dx and vastly improve her meds, lifestyle, and prognosis. It's a non-issue. Also, if she didn't have some psychiatric phenomena after years of meds and Screech, I'd be shocked.

Sleep issues are relatively commonplace for autistic children. Aggressive behavior can be related to frustration caused by communication deficits and/or sensory overstimulation. I've always felt that Jani's tendency to "attack" Bodhi when he was an infant was self-explanatory if you accept that she was a typical autistic child. It was always stated that her aggressive behavior toward Bodhi was prompted by his crying. Lots of neurotypical people are irritated by crying children but an autistic child may have an even more intense reaction to that level of sensory input. She probably just wanted the sound to stop because it was hurting her ears - no psychosis and no malicious intent. There is nothing that Jani said or did as a child that can't be explained by autism and parental negligence (plus a healthy dose of encouragement to express her childhood fantasies in terms that could be misconstrued as hallucinations by her desperate-for-fame parents but even the presence of a complex, ongoing imaginary world may be associated with autism). I know that some people doubt that Jani was anything but a typical child who was badly parented but the autism diagnosis makes sense to me.

I agree. I have always thought that Jani was attacking the crying infant because the sound of him crying drove her literally crazy. I myself hate music and sports broadcastings because the sound and the intensity of it drives me up the wall. I feel like I'd love to kill someone to just quiet that sound down (if I am not in control of that sound) . Which I of course do not do, but it feels like I could do it. I get grumpy and nasty towards other people until the sound is discontinued. I have no autism diagnosis but I have some characteristics from the spectrum, and so does my mun, and my aunt has quite severe aspergers. So I see nothing strange in little Jani's reaction. She probably felt like the sound was gonna rip her apart and just went mad. She could not control her rage like an adult can. It may be difficult to understand this if one has never experienced anything like this him/herself. But sensitivity to certain sounds, melodies and rhythm that I have, is very debilitating. The anxiety level can not be suppressed by any medication even.

Oh poor Jani.
I'm so sad for her. She was just a fucking normal, quirky, bratty little girl with shit parents. This makes me even more mad. I still believe Bodhi is autistic, I don't think there's a question about that, but without Susan, Jani would be driving, would probably have a boyfriend, she'd be thinking forward to college, this is so sick. Thank god she's too developmentally delayed now to realize exactly what has been stolen from her because if she was 'with it' enough to know, especially with being a teenage girl and how emotionally charged they can be, who knows what kind of shitstorm it would start.

Susan begging for Thorazine is very telling as anyone who has been on instant release Seroquel knows that shit will knock you out for HOURS. I used to use mine as a PRN when I got upset about something and didn't want to have to cope with it, that's how strong that shit is. Seroquel was enough to quell Jani. It can't NOT have been. Fuck you, Susan.

Michael, keep fighting. Jani could still be something in the world.

Susan’s entire life is spent LARPing the fantasy of being a plucky young girl reporter who’s gonna Expose the Truth and get a ticker tape parade and a key to the city from the Mayor for being so plucky and also pretty. Having two kids ruins that image for her, but she’s found a way to work them into the solution. For god sake she even made Michael state the date and time for the record on camera during their HONEYMOON.
