Yeah, but to a modern person, that sort of thing is considered barbarous and backwards. When you hear about new surgeries now it's often that they've made the procedure less invasive by using laparoscopy or something.
It shouldn't be. There's still a need for new surgeries.
Oh, definitely. But as a non-doctor, I assume any new surgeries are going to be done by highly trained surgeons, at large teaching hospitals with lots of staff, and with plenty of research to back up why the new surgery is a good idea. If it's really innovative, it'll stay performed at a handful of large hospitals for decades to come. Also, people won't be going to third world countries to get it done.
You know, there's even an tv show called "Botched" that occasionally highlights this issue. But unfortunately, the prospect of an discount surgery is to great for some people to resist.
Yeah, there's people on there getting nose jobs from dermatologists. But the difference is that a nose job done correctly will be fine, whereas even the best SRS outcomes are still pretty bad.
Meh, guild control by the AMA is part of why health care costs are so huge in this country anyway. I'm hesitant to restrict the market even more than it already is. People should be free to make their own mistakes.
The problem here is that it's not obvious to them that they are making a mistake. There's been tons of posts on here where troons get mad at other troons for writing the truth about SRS. There's no real informed consent.
The medical industry is caching in on the mentally ill thanks to post modern academic bullshit infecting broader society. At this point there is too much money involved for anyone in LGBTIQCAPGNGFNBA to let it go. What will be the cause they shriek about and to keep the shekels rolling in if they give up on getting trannies in women's restrooms?
