Oh - me, neither. His recent behavior has made that claim rather plausible; I would just rather know where the guy got the information before automatically believing it, you know?

I can, however, completely believe that Dan is Arin's Yes man; not because he agrees with him, but because he genuinely fears losing his job as co-host if he challenges/disagrees with Arin too hard/often.

Seems equally sad considering Dan has more personality than Arin. That guy needs to fucking nut up.

I mean, if that is actually how it is - how can Dan think of Arin as a friend? Maybe instead of talking to a therapist about why he rushes into relationships, maybe Dan ought to discuss with said therapist his reason why he allows a guy 10 years his junior to control him as he does (again, that's assuming that Dan feels he owes NSP's success to Arin for giving them a job when they had been struggling).

It's almost sad to see him become thread-worthy these days but I can entirely see why it happened. GG with Jon was pretty damn fine but it seems like it's become more and more of a business rather than entertainment since 2014-onwards. Dan was okay because he seemed pretty chilled out, but Arin started becoming more and more unfunny as the years went on to the point where it was a fucking chore to watch.

Suzy was never good though imo

I think the ship has sailed on Arin becoming more professional. I'll give him some credit because I think he recognizes the value in professionalism, but I just don't think it's for him. Arin is and will most likely always be a man child. He wants someone else to handle the professional side of things and he just wants to ride on their success. That's part of why earlier Grumps was successful in the first place. Arin filled the more passive role now occupied by Danny, but now he's usually in the driving seat which leads to him throwing tantrums and being passive aggressive towards fans.

Everyone else around Arin genuinely seems to care about what they do, whether it is music, animating or video making. Even Suzy had that board gaming show. They aren't all successful, but at least they try and appear passionate about something. Arin is just there, and even if there's something he is interested in, he pushes the idea onto someone else. See his music career for that, or hell, even that Wendy's thing which he basically pushed his fanbase on. He's even said before it is usually everyone else wrangling him around to get into the studio to film Grumps, and even that seems to be getting harder and harder to do based on some of the posts people have made regarding their new schedule.

People like to compare DSP to Arin, which I think is fairly accurate. Arin is basically an alternate universe version of DSP where DSP never moved and still had people like John Rambo to carry his channel. I think Arin gets by on people being convinced they need him, but then realizing they are successful on their own merits and drifting away once they realize how little Arin actually does for them.

Eh, I'd compare him more to Maddox than to DSP, in terms of legacy.

Today on Game Grumps: Arin talks about the gender politics of the 1-Up item from New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, and proceeds to talk about why they should really not be called "1-Mans" for the entire episode. Because pixels that make up a Green Mushroom on screens can be girls too, y'know.

And before you all ask: why yes, there IS a compilation showing Arin calling them 1-Mans because of fucking course there is, why would anyone possibly think otherwise? Perish the thought. And yes, it is only Arin whomst has ever called them "1 Mans" or "Extra Guys".


And yes: fans were just as bewildered by this tirade as you probably all are for hearing that this is a thing that happened.

EDIT: Mind you, Dan didn't even call them 1-Mans, he calls them "Extra Guys". Because Mario is a guy. It's another guy being added. This is the stupidest argument between two people on a video game that I have ever heard in my entire life.

That was sweet. Dan was literally like "Really nigga? You fucking cuck?" He didn't say fucking cuck but the tone of his voice was clear as day.

You're implying I said Ross was forced into doing this; when I never had. All I said it was Arin's idea. The fact that Ross is going along with it on his own volition (and being compensated for his time, of course) doesn't change the fact it was Arin's idea, in the first place.

I know, crazy right? Now I know it doesn't make as much sense as the clearly obvious notion of Arin hatching this plan to have Ross stream a Nintendo Direct and upload a video on an inactive channel, whilst having them @ GameGrumps with them only responding after the fact (despite Allie being in the stream video before she made the post), whilst Arin had had Ross watch the Direct while he himself was away to fool the audience into thinking it was Ross's idea, and obviously supposedly paying for the other people wanted to bring in to work and stream with at home on his own time, and never once mentioning those people were also getting paid...

...But the devil's in the details. You just gotta read between the lines to know t h e t r u t h a b o u t A r i n.

EDIT: Really didn't think I'd need to point this out: the above is massive sarcasm, and pointing out how crazy he sounds.
