According to weebs in the know, this dude is a PR guy for Funimation.

We need to confirm if this is true or not.

Oh man. If he is an actual PR guy for Funimation, and not just some wanabe weeb, then they are so screwed. The only thing that makes me doubt some of his lofty claims is he is seemingly broadcasting from the kitchen of what looked suspiciously like a basement studio apartment. Complete with other people wandering the background. I also think he was snorting some nose candy while off camera. With the amount of sudden onset snuffling he surely put something up his nose. Granted I don't rule out crayons.

I mean if this guy has any employment connection to Funimation, he is so fucking fired first thing Monday morning.

Depends? Vic used to voice a few characters in the 4Kids version of One Piece. So now people have an excuse to find full episodes of it online and ask him to voice out characters he voiced in that show. LOL

Vic played Sabo, some minor characters and sang the We Are opening in the Funimation dub of One Piece, not 4Kids.I don't believe he was in any 4Kids stuff, but he did a guest appearance as Keldeo in that Pokemon movie featuring him.

I doubt he's in Funimation PR, but he has mentioned Funimation contracts. He also mentioned that he had been in Texas courts regarding contracts, I wish Nick had asked him which cases so I could go through them. I can't stand duplicitous liars, especially authoritative ones like that dude was.

I doubt it. I honestly don't believe it.

Really? Over the Tonka-Rekeita stream or Andy coming out on a wheelchair to the tune of the old Kumite theme song?
This was funnier than both, Tonka-Rekeita was more painful because Tonka is such a brainlet, Andy coming out to the Kumite strong was song but this fucking moron was actually dumber than Tonka

I don't think any large company is that dumb

Funimation employees in their human resource departments have bragged about not doing any investigating and the company has constantly inserted gamergate nonsense into dubs.

You're optmistic.

So what did he actually say? I couldn't open the stream anymore because it was just horrifying that people like that are basically running anime cons and dating VA's, and having kids. Is that the baseline? The average person?

Cons are shit so I don't see why you're surprised.

By virtue of being a company that automatically gets good rep and isn't manufacturing weapons or digging for oil (a la' Tesla, Nintendo) I doubt they've ever needed to. Hell, I didn't give a shit even after the GamerGate trash. Or Schemmel being a scumbag on Team Fourstar. But like so many companies like Gillette or EA find out the hardway. Your PR guys are very important.

In my experience about 40% of those I get called into assess, are. Just to give an example, almost the first 10 years of the Dilbert Cartoon were pretty much written verbatim from Scott Adams life working at PacBell. Everything after that was written from the true stories he gets sent by other people living in companies that are that dumb. But Funimation seems particularly bad. Like approaching Marvel Entertainment levels of bad. Funimation is the textbook setup for a company that is that bad. They get paid via recurring subscriptions to deliver localized foreign product. So it takes a lot to disrupt the money flow, there is a bit of a disconnect. Plus they aren't actually producing anything. Just localizing it, which creates a low stress nursery school atmosphere.
