Feminists consider the terminology "egalitarian" as a conservative dog whistle these days, or maybe they did from the start. From their persepctive, since society has been largely patriarchal in structure and women have been oppressed, saying that you are egalitarian over feminist means that you don't acknowledge these power discrepancies (privilege) and are not a 'true' feminist or ally.

Shit like this always reinforces my belief that feminists have basically created their own religion they just don't realize it.

...wtf. Since when were the egalitarians not on the Left? Why is he lumping them with the more conservative side?

Because literally everyone who isn't an SJW is a Nazi.

Feminists consider the terminology "egalitarian" as a conservative dog whistle these days, or maybe they did from the start.

Egalitarians believe that men and women are moral equals.

It is obligatory to believe that men are evil vermin who need to be exterminated or at least castrated. Otherwise you're a Nazi rapist.

I finally saw the stream, my god that guy was an absolute retard. I think he was fucking with you the entire time dude.

That guy you talked with would be the type of lawyer who would use the Chewbacca defense very efficiently.

I think they know to keep their distance from crazy shit like this going down.

Matt Mercer earned the wrath of angry gamers because he didn't take over for Troy Baker in Tales of Vesperia because he "didnt want to be stereotyped into a Troy double" which could read as code for "I deserve a bigger career" to some. instead they got Grant George who has been universally slammed by the gaming fans and Troy stans.

THIS IS 100% NOT A CONSPIRACY GUYS!!!

I can see Shane's Tweets fine right now. I haven't checked that Nomikai one.
Oh, he unlocked his account. He might have been deleting tweets away from prying eyes, but archive screenshots aren't showing any drops so he could have just freaked out from all the attention he was getting. Nomikai is still locked down though

So Shannon McCormick decides to weigh in with his extensive legal knowledge. (This is why Austin is cancer)

And Rackets' responses.

There's two big points here. A: This isn't SLAPP. The interference stuff is completely out of it, commercial speech is not protected the same way normal speech is. And for the defamation these are not opinions that are being disputed but statements of fact, which is why a viable defamation case can be made in the first place. B: Contract law is the byzantine fucking thing I've ever seen. Of all lawyers, ones specializing in contract law are the most exceptional for a reason. A layperson is not going to read a contract made by RT and understand shit. Also, it's unimportant but I highly doubt that Shannon had the same contract as Vic, because Vic got one when his name outmassed RWBY's. Shannon got RT contracts when it was a relatively small startup.

Also, Rackets would lose his entire livelihood if this was a "grift". I doubt it would ever happen, but a second defamation case would make my day.

Anime News Network's motivations for kicking off #AniMeToo are clear. Early January, one of the big names in the SJWeeaboo circle got outed as a sex pest interested in underage trannies (there are a lot more, including some with DMs). While he wasn't a proper staff member, Hazukari/Dylan Keilman wrote a few articles for them, showed up on their podcasts, appeared at their convention panels and was a friend to them. To make themselves look great, ANN then decided to make a list of people to name and shame in anime. If Hazukari didn't add to the ever growing list of male feminist sex pests, ANN wouldn't have published their Vic stories.

It looks like they used Vic to sweep Hazukari under the rug. They've unpersoned him but you will find no articles about him being a pedo. All conversation about him is exclusive to their personal Twitter accounts. Anime News Network will publish stories on random sickos, but the sicko who wrote for their site slips by. He'll just go and find new prey in another community.

According to the site's co-founder (who ended up on that sex pest list for a bit), there are worse people than Vic Migogna in the anime industry. ANN just won't report on them because they "don't make good stories." Why was Vic chosen first? There wasn't a new incident that set this off. With Dragon Ball Super: Broly reminding people he existed, a story on Vic would get the most clicks.

I'm surprised they haven't started going after other people. They didn't publish a story about Todd Haberkorn denying a rape accusation. Though I guess that would make them look bad. The accuser was a girl they quoted in their Vic article.

Oh and @worldofcrap is also friends with jesuotaku who is friends with @MarzGurl and @bethelderkin, while @bethelderkin is a mutual follower of @monicariel so then his account of things come into question, since everyone involved in this seemingly knows everyone else.

Jesuotaku/Hope Chapman writes for ANN. Her boyfriend is the site's editor. She hasn't written any of the Vic articles. She interviewed him last year for some Digimon autism and never mentioned any of this shit. I'm not sure she's really been involved with the #KickVic sperg outs. She prefers to cry about depictions of heterosexuality in anime.

As soon as one of these VAs or Shane realizes we're doccumenting their shit and demand our removal from existance upon fnding out the kind of site we are.
With his attitude and bothering to lockdown for cleaning, I'll be keeping my eye on the mail bag.

I'm sure it's just my poor reading comprehension, but all this translates to in my head is "I've signed contracts. I know how laws work."

Armchair lawyers getting their asses beat by actual lawyers are always fun. Then again, just replace lawyers with any other occupation and it would still fit.
