Anime News Network's motivations for kicking off #AniMeToo are clear. Early January, one of the big names in the SJWeeaboo circle got
outed as a
sex pest
interested in
underage trannies (
there are a
lot more, including
some with DMs). While he wasn't a proper staff member, Hazukari/Dylan Keilman
wrote a few articles for them, showed up on their podcasts, appeared at their convention panels and was a friend to them. To make themselves look great, ANN then decided to
make a list of people to name and shame in anime. If Hazukari didn't add to the ever growing list of male feminist sex pests, ANN
wouldn't have
published their
Vic stories.
It looks like they used Vic to sweep Hazukari under the rug. They've
unpersoned him but you will find no articles about him being a pedo. All conversation about him is exclusive to their personal Twitter accounts. Anime News Network will publish stories on
random sickos, but the sicko who wrote for their site slips by. He'll just go and find new prey in another community.
According to the site's co-founder (who
ended up on that sex pest list for a bit), there are
worse people than Vic Migogna in the anime industry. ANN just won't report on them because they "don't make good stories." Why was Vic chosen first? There wasn't a new incident that set this off. With Dragon Ball Super: Broly reminding people he existed, a story on Vic would get the most clicks.
I'm surprised they haven't started going after other people. They didn't publish a story about Todd Haberkorn
denying a rape accusation. Though I guess that would make them look bad. The accuser was a girl they quoted in their Vic article.
Oh and @worldofcrap is also friends with jesuotaku who is friends with
@MarzGurl and @bethelderkin, while @bethelderkin is a mutual follower of @monicariel so then his account of things come into question, since everyone involved in this seemingly knows everyone else.
Jesuotaku/Hope Chapman writes for ANN. Her boyfriend is the site's editor. She hasn't written any of the Vic articles. She interviewed him last year for
some Digimon autism and never mentioned any of this shit. I'm not sure she's really been involved with the #KickVic sperg outs. She prefers to cry about depictions of heterosexuality in anime.
