I like how everything bad on SS that has happened apparently is all because I corrupted the forum after Swole Cru got plexxed and then banned. “If we would have just banned Grode Jar and kept only the good posters like Rocket, this would have all been fine and I could have kept my kingdo...I mean Internet forum!”

Yeah, Dog O Tron’s Enemies List was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while. Sadly, SASS often times found ways to be every bit as goony as the forum they were set up to make fun of. Dog O Tron is a lolcow himself and here’s hoping @Silas can break the cycle.

So what was "Skull Mound", or whatever the hell they called it? I remember a brief outrage on SA about it, but they spoke like it was fucking Voldemort and never said what the damn thing actually was.

I remember a thread that a goon made in his mid 20s about having panic attacks because he felt he was behind on investing for his retirement.

The same goons who will tear you to shreds about not having the perfect investment portfolio also believe high COL areas are a good thing because good jobs apparently don’t exist outside major metropolitan areas. BRB, increasing my COL by $30,000 so I can get a job that pays $15,000 more a year.

Edit: Also some of the biggest evangelists in BFC made lots of money when goon erotica was a big deal. Moana and Sundae jump to mind. Moana will claim it was due to private tutoring lessons but made about a million dollars in a few years thanks to werewolf rape erotica (not hating but just saying). Sundae was /)(\ close to quitting his job at Johnson & Johnson when Amazon changed their rules about compensation with these “romance novels” and the goon erotica bubble immediately burst and that was that.

My wife made a couple hundred dollars shitting out a few quick trashy erotic novellas on Amazon. I didn't read them but as little time as she spent on them, I think there were three of them at most, they must have been spectacular.

Part of being an adult is sacrifice, delayed gratification, and the concept of an honest days work. These are concepts that are foreign to 90% of goons.

I missed that entire episode; what did Amazon do to shut down the flood of perverted erotica like "I got fucked by a giant euro-coin" and "Gay Dinosaur Boss Sexually Harasses His Male Employee" onto the wbsite?

Amazon had a subscription service for Kindle and used to pay authors based off of books downloaded through the service. So goons pumped out dozens of essentially pamphlets with quirky titles and pictures of half naked dudes.

Then Amazon decided to pay authors based off of pages read. So compensation dropped like a rock because even for light reading, the sad HR catladies and lonely housewives who bought them would get bored with them by the first couple of pages. My understanding is based off of the butthurt I saw, compensation dropped by something like 90%

This happened about 3-4 years ago and completely wrecked goon erotica. Some, like Moana, got in while the getting was good. Others missed the boat and probably still get triggered about it, hoping to retire by 35 by writing about gay werewolves riding on lesbian dinosaurs.
