These work like vaccines, giving tiny doses of the thing the subject is allergic to in order to gradually up the "max exposure" the individual can tolerate until they're immune. The thing is, Monty also had this cat at his home, at all times. His symptoms got worse and worse due to constant exposure and the shots didn't help because of this. Eventually the inevitable happened, he went into anaphylactic shock, and died. Because his GF wanted a cat.

She then got breast implants after inheriting a hefty chunk of cash from him.

Honestly their accounts sound more like the headcanon of some weeb romance manga than actually things that happened. Like Hanleia hates Vics guts, but when she was 15 she adored the guy and went to his bible meets and took photos. When she became staff, she suddenly was watching on as hundreds of girls lined up to hug him, and he had no time for you, the lowly con staffer, who just became SJW and hates religion now. Then you have Roy Toye, whos Jessies Fiance, who sounds like a deranged lunatic on Twitter. If he saw his fiance rubbing the shoulders of some guy that has known her longer than you have, and maybe something happened with them in the past, it might set a guy like that off. All of this is just me talking out my ass here, but I'm not sure the "Christian Hugger is problematic" is the only dimension to all of this.
