Anyway, I'm gonna use it as a jumping off point. I don't recall much talk from this stream. If it's already been discussed then I apologize in advance. But in it, Vic mentions that he's gonna be heading back to LA to record more Jojo. Now this is interesting as many thought (myself included) that Vic had wrapped up recording for Jojo. But it appears that Viz is at the very least honoring the contract for that role at least which is at least reassuring.

The Pushback has been break neck this time around because they pretty much gunned for the biggest name in dubdom for very nakedly obvious personal gain. This became really fucking obvious when a personal friend of Rial's suddenly got a load of work from Funimation. One of the things that's kinda interesting about this is that very few "news" sources have actually picked up this story.

That is one possible approach. The other is to use the 80k worth of serious litigators to pound the ex-coworkers, conventions and companies in the ass until they retract their statements publicly, reinstate his job and pay restitution.
One is a vague possibility that involves grovelling and begging. The other, while still being a risk, can be quantified, assessed and carried out by professionals. Also, his lawyers are already getting paid, it's be a waste not to use them.

You go through a law school, work your ass off in this stressful environment so you can work for a highly prestigious law firm. You think that you will work with serious people involved in reasonable disputes...

Nope, no lawyers on their side so far. I hear some of them have said that they think Sony is going to pay for their legal fees, but I'm also hearing they've gone completely silent. The biggest evidence for lawyers would be them going completely dead silent.

I think most "good" lawyers know two things.
They know what the client wants and they know the law.

They put those two things together into a working strategy

It doesn't matter if the slander comes from a newspaper, a book, a mother fucker with a loud speaker in a park, or twitter.
Vic's lawyers only need to know two things.

1. Defamation, Slander \ libel, and contractual interference happened
2. Their client wants to fuck some peoples shit up.

The rest they can figure out as they need to.
