I think it's a reference to "Team America for a new generation" except he always fucks up joke delivery. Especially since I'm sure he believes the latest generation is all super liberal, I would bet he believes Hamilton is to the younger, more liberal generation what Team America is to an older, more conservative generation.

I thought TEAM AMERICA was a scathing indictment of Neocon dickery - mocking the idea that America should act as policeman to the rest of the world. I've never seen Hamilton, but from what I've seen, it's a "woke" reimagining of the Founding Fathers starring black rappers. The way SJWs and Progs are crowing about it leads me to believe it's some sort of vapid cultural ritual what the "right kind of whites" watch in order to absolve themselves of their ancestral White Guilt.

But a lot of neocons like the movie anyway for kind of making a fair point about why things have to be done the way they are. (see: closing speech about dicks, pussies, and assholes) Many neocons would be perfectly happy not having to blow things up, but believe we either have to deal with a problem now, or deal with it later.

(I of course am an "ultra-con" - kill all humans now, solve all problems later.)

Bob also wants to import more minorities into the flyover states in order to help the states "evolve" as he likes to put it. Except he also plans that these states are going to have to fall apart, which will ultimately lead to his stupid vision of New York state.

So he wants to import people who are minorities to states that are supposedly going to collapse in the not too distant future.

What's even funnier is how he assumes minorities are just all going to completely agree with him. Like if all white republicans vanished tomorrow, he wouldn't have to suddenly deal with black baptists opposing homosexuality, or latino catholics voting against abortion. Or the legal immigrants voting for a wall. The ONLY thing holding together the dem coalition right now is a common enemy. If Bob was to get what he wanted and the complete, absolute defeat of that enemy, the coalition would fly apart so fast his head would spin.

Bob is most likely believing the movies production budget breaking even made it not a dud. It cost 144 million to make and got back 229 million. However this didn't include marketing and other costs and the studio stated they needed to make something like double that to justify making a sequel.

I'm not aware about the marketing and other costs, but wouldn't that make the budget be $288 million then for GB2016?

Everybody says that typically you estimate production costs doubled to gauge marketing costs. Of course sometimes this varies, as a movie may not have much marketing at all, but it all averages out.

BUT given how much marketing was pumped into fembusters, almost everyone is betting that it was way more than the production budget and it lost, BIG.
