You can't get blood out of a stone. At least not quickly.

I think if she's a target, the purpose would be for her to A) STFU, B) Retract and admit to the bullshit, and C) Basically destroy her credibility on the public record so that she can't do this again without being immediately dog-piled.

And yes, she can totally turn. Any of the prospective defendants could. That might actually be what Vic would want the most.

Would she? I dunno. If she's got any sense of self-preservation, she should. Her testimony might only be relevant to the co-defendants that she colluded with. I dunno if she had contact with Funimation, or the VAs, but I'm almost positive she could spell trouble for ANN and Gizmodo.

I think it really comes down to what she'd consider a worse fate: Being viewed as a traitor in the eyes of the SJW cabal, or being in debt for fucking ever. SJWs are crazy, so it's not as obvious an answer as you'd think.

Why wouldn't it? When has it ever NOT worked out for them? At the very least instead of an instant career killshot it hangs around their targets like an albatross for the rest of their lives as SJWs constantly bring it up over and over again, logic / reason / facts be damned.

Hell, even if MarzGurl openly admits she didn't have any evidence and was just destroying Vic because she didn't like him, the allegations would be brought up every few minutes by the PULLs and the ResetERAs of the world. If you want to see this in action, look at the "homophobia" allegation that Vic constantly deals with -- as far as I can tell it literally comes from a single deranged fujoshi who is still ass blasted that he wouldn't sign her gay incestuous child pornography art ten years ago who has spent the past decade constantly reposting the accusations (and similar made up bullshit) to Tumblr under a variety of aliases.

Rule 1 of social media lynch mobs is that not only do they NEVER face any consequences you aren't even allowed to call them out for what they're doing. There's a reason they're not picking up on the legal assfucking that's coming to them. The idea is literally incomprehensible to them.

Yes but their are two logical ways this will proceed.

1) this will fail an they'll look impotent
2)They will kick vic which will provide a solid example of loss for the suit and enrage Vics fanboys which far out number the anti-vic guys.

Even if they lose, they will still spin it into a win, especially if they get the national media to go to bat for them.

It's them attacking the con indirectly. The con isn't going to capitulate to them, especially not with the owner suffering from his own MeToo hoax. (And yes, new rule: All MeToo allegations are hoaxes until a police report is provided.) So they have to try and harm it in other ways.

The con won't obey their woke masters, but artists tend to be more woke than average, so they might just be able to drive some of them away. And even those artists that aren't woke probably are left leaning, which means they're susceptible to empathy attacks -- i.e., social pressure, shaming, etc.

And if the con can't fill the artist alley, the con might tank financially.

I've seen the selection about the yaoi/yelling incident from Dannphan's video but I never saw that last part. I wonder if Vic knew how much he could count on everyone to "stand up for him on silly forums". Wish he didn't need it so much though, what a sweet dude.

Honestly? Someone who's a bit too enthusiastic. Matsuri (John & Deneice) had a long history of underhanded business practices before John was ever accused of harassment. The BAM account looks like they just don't know how to remember everything else they've done.
