I know we are not supposed to feel sorry for Cows, but having watched Ron I think I have his basic psychology pegged. He is some menial mortgage broker who works in a cubical, making calls, receiving calls, having to go to work in uncomfortable shirts and sucking up to people day in and day out. He has to suck up to his boss, who is probably some cousins son to the owner of the company and 5 years younger to him. He has to suck up to his clients, who are difficult idiots who don't know the difference between a credit and a debit. But even then he can't use his knowledge but instead explain in pedantic detail basic financial stuff to people who have more money then he does but less brain cells, and look down on him for it. And if for one second he lets slip what he really thinks about them from behind the servile mask, he will get fired by the cousins son 5 years younger then he is.
But then a miracle happens. He gets romantically involved with an "actress". A major player, the voice of Bulma! I mean, he watched Dragonball Z growing up! He knows who Bulma is. This is a big deal! Suddenly his menial existence is not so menial. Now, for the first time he has his hands around something divine, not mundane. Now, he has the respect of someone clearly his superior. A literal demi-god of culture and grace. But there is a problem. His precious demi-god has to mingle amongst other demi-gods. Like Vic Mignogna. How can Ron, humble Mortgage broker guy, compare to the voice of Edward Elric and his legion of Fan Girls? Did he touch his precious divine creature monica? Who knows?! She say's it never happened, but it almost did and it was horrible! Oh Ron, he practically forced himself on me! I was so scared! You will help me defend my honor against Vic, won't you Ron?!
And so he does. Because he must. Suddenly he is not Ron, random Mortgage Broker guy. Now he is the fearless White Knight, defending Bulma from the evil racist rapist misogynists. It does not matter that his precious love has gone silent and left him to fend for himself. His cause is just. His cause is Important. It MATTERS! For the first time in his life he is doing something REAL! He is not selling Mortgages to stuck up idiots who insult his clear superiority. He is fighting the enemies of society, decency and his precious Monica Rial! He is a HERO!
Good luck Ron.
