Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

They really don’t give a shit about anybody else, nor do the staff at the State Bar.

For some reason every dumb sped on the Internet thinks they're the greatest genius of all time when they come up with the idea of sending floods of bogus bar complaints about a lawyer who made them butthurt, despite the fact that every idiot in the world has had exactly the same idea, and every bar association has had to deal with some bunch of Twitter loonies suffering anal anguish.

The thing about the Japanese and why the SJW strain won't affect them is that they value the social harmony and dislike politically motivated discussion. The SJW plague is mostly a western disease.
I don't think it's that. It's more that Japan has a more conservative culture.

Japan does have politically motivated discussion mainly in regards to some of the media they have there with issues such as poor birth rates, Japanese court system, nuclear war, traditionalism, and the treatment of bastard children.

I don't know how the Japanese react to content having those issues in it but this was just to prove that they do have politically motivated discussion albeit about real issues instead of just "THIS GUY BUMPED INTO ME SO IT'S HARASSMENT" tier garbage

They genuinely believe that they have a legal right to never feel "uncomfortable" (a conveniently nebulous term) and that any words or actions which make them feel uncomfortable or offended are illegal. The way social media companies respond to complaints by them has only further entrenched this view.

It's not an accident that so many of these wingnuts are lonely. They have such distorted views of how human interaction works that no-one could live up to the rules they set for being part of their social circle.

And they are attempting to dogpile on one or more Lawyers. Highly educated professionals who’s legal constitutional and historical job Often involves making fucking retards feel uncomfortable. Hey Sweetcheeks! If you don’t want to have your feefee’s hurt, DON’T PISS OFF FUcKING LAWYERS! A very important life lesson there.

It's absolutely fascinating to watch and I hope the ride doesn't end any time soon.

The most hilarious thing is I don’t think either Nick or Ty have tweeted more than 100 characters in total at them. Just brief one or two word comments. The longest statement was “we will be in touch” otherwise “Sweetcheeks” “pumpkin” and “cupcake”. And it causes them to completely melt down. It’s a fascinating lesson in pointed, direct and surgically precise use of language to completely unhinge the dangerhaired freak brigade.

I think it is also a result of the southern/rural lexicon being used against more urban/northern individuals. I think the utter meltdown is due to the dangerhairs' disgust of "country" stereotypes.

Ok guys, this is an expo sponsored by Funimation, starts up April 26. They apparently added a new rule very recently. I'll let you take a stab at what it was. Possibly unrelated, but I think it's funny

Oh I just can't get a discussion rolling about international politics like how this government official is shit kind of conversation outta them. Mostly they don't like disparagement of persons. So I don't see them talking about being politically correct. If the its-ma'am! troon ever started shit in Japan he would be behind bars. Then the talking heads in the TV would be like "heh."

What am I looking for in the Costume Rules? Those actually seem reasonable, and are likely at the insistence of the Hall facility, not the con itself.

Can you imagine how delusional you have to be to think that you can "delete" your lead actor from the credits of a movie?
What about Brotherhood? Is he still credited on there?
Both series don't appear to have a cast list on googleplay, but he's still on the list for Fullmetal Alchemist: Sacred Star of Milos.

Rule number 6 is new.

I've actually been watching some older dubs by Funi like Initial D, they're not half bad. I refuse to watch any recent dubs though with this latest stuff plus the tactic of inserting political beliefs into anime like with Dragon Maid and Prison School. If they're allowed to get away with it they'll just keep doing it, and I'm used to subs anyway. That's uh...that's all I wanted to input.

Though, do you think Shane cooks shoe leather and eats it?

That shoe died that night. Countless more will be devoured before Shane is brought to justice.

Does Funi have rights to that movie? To my knowledge they lost the rights for FMA and FMAB a while back, but not sure about the films.

It's almost impossible to catch the lewd cosplayers since they can always drop down the skirt or drapes before any enforcer catches on. But I agree that most convention rules disallows lewd cosplays.

I think that one is from the Convention Hall or the Law Enforcement providing security. They don’t want any cosplayers that might be mistaken as Cops or SWAT. It’s a response following “The Punisher” incident awhile back. I saw similar rules at the local Malls for Halloween.

I think it's horrible that they aren't pulling all the content he appeared in like how the Micheal Jackson episode of The Simpsons or The Cosby Show were pulled. What a disgusting, misogynist company.

I can guarantee you that they'll never pull FMA. It's still making them a lot of money.
It's one of the most popular shows out there. Even after completion.
