My bet's on him using that sweet pile of Twitch/emerald_greenseven cash to pay for his various bills and debt payments, putting all his faith in the "special events" to save his ass.

And while I'm typing this, I'm wondering what his answer would be to the question if he has been putting aside money for the current year's (business) taxes.

I think he has. The question is, has he been putting enough aside. Or has he been so useless he's putting aside the bare minimum of what he thinks, maybe, just possible he has to pay. I mean, you can't expect him to know how to handle money and have a backup plan. He's only 36 for gods sake.

DSP just completely fucked up explaining the effect Daylight Saving Time has on his streams - which starts on Sunday, but mainly just for the U.S. for the time being - only adding to the confusion people might have about DST:

If I cared enough to do it, I’d show up to his stream tomorrow at 9am Pacific DST bitching for an hour in chat as to why his stream hadn’t started on time.

I fully expect this to be the case for some people, tbh. I would set expections pretty low, because I won't be surprised if Phil leaves his "special event" with $500-$1000 in tips. That said, he claims that he's not "even halfway" on the taxes, so even $1000 would be nowhere near enough. With how he's set up his begging, he's going to have to come up with quite a story to explain how he paid them even though he's going to be (according to his numbers) thousands of dollars short.

Why the fuck do people apologize? You're giving them money. It's not like this exclusive to Daves stream either, I've seen this quite a bit. Usually though the streamer makes sure to tell the person not to worry. But Jesus Christ, apologizing while giving money away, can you be a bigger cuck?

Maybe I'm wrong because I'm just a normie 9-5er, but something's always bothered me about DSP's self-imposed schedule.

DSP's "main stream" is his first one. He starts around 11 am PDT (2 pm PDT) and goes like 4-5 hours depending on the prestream.

Shouldn't his first stream be the "chill stream" and his second one be the main stream? Shouldn't DSP's main stream start around 4 pm or 5 pm Pacific (7 or 8 pm Eastern) so that all the people that actually have money to donate can watch?

Also, DSP's second stream starts at 10 pm Eastern. Maybe I'm just a cranky guy, but doesn't that eliminate most of this East Coast viewers?



Haven't we seen examples of DSP freaking the fuck out if his audience gets too high? In the video I posted above about UFC3, he ranted against the extra "300 viewers" assuming they were all trolls that came by to watch him look bad. He's done that more than once saying that anything about 500-600 are either viewbots or trolls send by Tevin.

Wasn't there at least one instance where he got a legit hosting so his viewers went close to 1000 and he immediately ended the stream?

Phil's choice of times that he streams seriously need to be reworked.
IIRC Phil generally streams from about noon to 5pm and 7pm to 10pm roughly. As far as the West Coast market they basically get 1 short after dinner stream. The East Coast Market is targeted alright (and a good portion of his audience) with 1st stream occurring 3pm to 8pm for them and 2nd stream 10pm to 1am. For the UK and European market Phil's streams occur 8/9pm to 1/2am, and 3/4am to 6/7am. For the Australian market Phil's streams occur 6/7am to 11am/noon, and 1/2pm to 4/5pm. The East Coast market is the only thing he really hits well at all.

If he streamed 8am to noon, and 2pm to 6pm:
for the UK/Euro market this would be 4/5pm to 8/9pm, and 10/11pm to 2/3am;
the East Coast market 11am to 3pm, and 5pm to 9pm;
the Australian market 1/2am to 5/6am, and 7/8am to 11am/noon (he wasn't hitting this market well anyway, and if he wanted to he could stream 9pm to 1am once or twice a week 3pm to 7pm for Aussies)
He would hit the European market much better, the West coast the same amount, and the East Coast slightly less.

He really needs to start gaming the system better with Twitch and play popular games that his current fans are interested in if he actually wants his stream to grow. He is also doing the same thing with Twitch he did with YouTube and refusing to learn anything more than the bare minimum to be a contributer on the site. He needs to be proficient with all aspects of chat: he apparently doesn't know how to hold a vote in chat, his commands are shit and I never see anyone use them, he has no chat currency, etc. . .
He needs to watch other streamers because he has absolutely no idea what a Twitch stream looks like or general practices. His current attempts at being a Twitch streamer are basically being a YouTube LP'er who plays whatever he feels like and just happens to livestream it now. I have never seen him having a good time with chat, the only thing he likes is when chat occasionally gives his narcissistic ego an asspat or two. He's so worried about his streams looking good for YouTube unedited that they are shit when they are happening for Twitch viewers.

Mmm, this is long enough. Mostly change his stream times and learn how to make a stream fun and engaging.

I posted this in the 'Real Criticism' on March 2nd, 2018. Approximately 2 weeks later DSP was directly quoting the times I had stated his streams occur in the UK/Euro market while he was informing everyone that his new stream start time was going to be 10:15 am, "something my European viewers have been asking me for for years" he said. . .certainly not because he read what a dumbfuck he is on Kiwi Farms, it was because of how much he listens to lemon party rape RP'ing, literally mentally disabled fans

Edit: This was also before he had specifically stated and demonstrated several times that he does not want his stream to grow at all, he just wants his current viewers to give him moar munny. This was back when he was pointing at hitting sub-goals (through gifted subs) as 'organic growth' and that he expected to to continue to get ever higher numbers of subs, I think months of the 'monthly gift sub cliff dive' hurt his fee-fees.

True but at some point they will either move on or just have enough supporting him. It's a repeating cycle in his life, he gets a few supporters who financially coddle him, eventually they grow up or wise up. I wanna agree that he should branch out and grow his audience, I genuinely have never seen a streamer so against growth. But lets be honest, what he's doing is working for him. I don't know how but every so often someone just pops up and drops a wad of cash in his fat doughy lap. In his mind he's winning. If being in crippling debt and begging for scraps is winning anyway.



Yeah, his last birthday stream. Cry dropped a 2k host on him and Dave pretty much ran away. It was close to "clocking off" time, but you'd think with that many new eyes on him he'd stick around longer. Especially considering he had, I think, a $2,000 goal of which I think he made $300ish. I've seen streamers before about to wrap up but then get a host, sometimes far less than 2k and stick around at least another hour or 2. I think even Dave knew outside viewers would immediately call his bullshit, so he ran.
