He's said many times that he just wants to keep what he has, and I think there's a kernel of truth there if you take into account that he's including a certain amount of purchasing power that allows him to splurge on whatever frippery that catches his eye. He lives a very soft lifestyle on which he refuses to compromise and so I'm sure he doesn't get nervous until his monthly squeezing doesn't yield the blood he's looking for.
That and, y'know. He's lazy as fuck. What, you expect him to squeeze harder?
And the best part of the Tip Shaming® is: people almost always react to it by throwing money at him. It really seems like he has between 30 and 60 diehard supporters who take up the task of making sure there's something being done at least once per stream to keep him (semi-)happy. But yeah, a message like "here's some money to raise your spirits a bit" basically says enough about the state DSP is in nowadays.
Here's a clip of him mentioning it's a slow stream again during the latest Co: MW Remastered stream - it feels like he's been doing that at least once during almost every stream for the past 7 days straight, btw - including the tip + message.
His theory about why things have be s l o w for some time now:

"Maybe some people are saving up because they know those events are coming this month to help with my taxes next month. That'd be great, if that's the case."
he wants to keep things he shouldnt have gotten in the first place. a big expensive home,a bmw, etcI hate it when he starts that "I just wanna keep what I've already got!" bullshit, to try and turn himself into a victim rather than a greedy twat. He had to borrow money and take out a shit load of loans to "get what he currently has" - it can be argued he doesn'ttechnically own it himself (yet). This is most noticable with his mortgaged houses, and the fact that if he doesn't pay his mortgages and debts off, then they'll repo his shit.
Phil, your constant living beyond your means got you into this shit, it's disgusting how much you make it sound like the world is purposely trying to screw you over. You reek of paranoia and self-entitlement.
I genuinely believe he's a vulnerable narcissist (on top of being a colossal twat).
Also predicting that if he doesn't get enough public donations for his "taxes", he's either gonna claim some secret fan "donated" the money to him, or else he had to beg his parents to help him out (and dood, they're really ill and had to spend their savings to help him out and now they can't afford their bills for their old age syndrome!) so please donate so he can take care of them.
I really wish someone would ask him how he plans to pay off next years taxes.

you are missing the point. point is even his biggest paypigs dont like him, im not talking about money. he does care when it make people leave or worst become <detractors>You’re missing the point. They still feed him money. He doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him as long as they give him money.
My streams will start and end an hour earlier until the Fall, so yeah, every day will be an hour earlier now. So I know what's going to happen: tomorrow I'll start earlier and no one will be here in the morning, no one will know that it changed, and then I'll end and people will ask me why I'm ending an hour earlier. SNAKE LAUGH"
Yeah... no shit, if you explain it like that.
What a gigantic dumbass.![]()
His second stream still starts in the middle of the night for europeans though, so they pretty much sleep through it. First stream doesn't matter, it's at late afternoon/evening so why would these changes even matter at all?I think this is proof that Dave's main viewerbase comes from the EU.
His streams will start an hour earlier for us Eurofags until it switches to Summertime here too (on the last sunday in March)
So I bet that this was him, talking to his (European) viewers.

That's why he only gets 200 viewers on the second stream, but 400-600 on his first. His second stream still starts in the middle of the night for europeans though, so they pretty much sleep through it. This was exactly what I meant. He mentions that "we still do it here in the United States for whatever reason", which makes it seem like he somehow thinks other countries have stopped doing it,
On the other hand, his second stream would be perfect time wise for the US, but he still gets way less viewers than on the first stream.

His first stream starts at a prime EU-time (gameplay around 8-9 pm), while his viewers from the US are still at work/school .

He thinks that there is no time change in the EU and his streams will start there "one hour earlier" until the fall where the time reverts back in the US.
EDIT: Sorry, don't know how to merge my posts @actually @Haunter
So what you’re saying is... Europeans are more gullible and pathetic than Americans?
Ah, like that, yes. Maybe that's why he didn't specify who he was talking to: he probably just assumes that, just like him, literally everyone else thinks the EU doesn't have DST anymore, so he doesn't "need" to specify and people automically know what in the world of fuck he's talking about. This was exactly what I meant.

Haven't we seen examples of DSP freaking the fuck out if his audience gets too high? In the video I posted above about UFC3, he ranted against the extra "300 viewers" assuming they were all trolls that came by to watch him look bad. He's done that more than once saying that anything about 500-600 are either viewbots or trolls send by Tevin.
Wasn't there at least one instance where he got a legit hosting so his viewers went close to 1000 and he immediately ended the stream?
Only someone like Phil could freak out over having too many viewers while streaming.
Either that or they're tossing quarters at the American clown on the street corner. So what you’re saying is... Europeans are more gullible and pathetic than Americans?
Either that or they're tossing quarters at the American clown on the street corner.
The detractors have been living rent-free in his head for so long that I think he's at the point where he knows that he has 400-500 loyal viewers, and he's convinced himself that anybody "extra" must have been sent by either Tevin, detractors in general, or by people making hate videos.
