planetjeff is an OG paypig. His usual MO is to show up and drop a $200 tip. Doesn't cheer, has subbed at Tier 1 for 24 months as user "planetjeff2". As shown above, was also the person who did successive $100, $200, and $400 tips during the Christmas 2017 begathon. Is somehow not smart enough to figure out that that tip money went into the black void that is Phil's spending.

Isn't planetjeff the one who disappeared for several months and then came back with a large tip and said, in short, "My wife died."?

Edit: Also, since it may be necessary for some. If you find yourself getting legit mad about any of this, step away for a time, chill, then come back and laugh. Someone could show up tomorrow and give Phil $8k, and it would only be a band-aid. He's put himself in a bad financial position based on his actions, and he needs a lot more than a one-time tip bomb of $630 to fix it.
He also been a patreon of DSP since 2015.

I was typing the twich URL in (because I don't bookmark for shit) and it autofilled to DSP. I have no clue what he was playing because I was navigating through twitch at that point. And with perfect editing I heard: "What is this glitch? He won't go through the door! C'mon man!"

I laughed so hard. This guy has two modes: Complain and Hate.

i don't get mad at people tossing large amounts of money, its usually confusion and laughter like what do they do for a living to just toss 600 dollars for a few seconds of joy with no regards to there own bills

On the up-side, this Planetjeff guy just single handedly removed Minecraft from the 'Wage Quit' chopping block as has been hinted at due to 'low interactions, guess folks are bored of the game'. $600+ in a single stream will once again cement Minecraft as the 'penultimate' Chill Stream game....until the Total Tips drop back down into single digits/under $50. Earlier he was hinting strongly that Minecraft would be getting the boot from the roster. $600 later and phil loves the game, it's the perfect Chill Stream game and they had soooo much fun 'interacting'.

Personally, I'm looking forward to watching him try to figure out redstone so this is a win for me ^.^

On a side note: He thinks he might owe anywhere from $10-$20k in taxes. Hmmm, $16k to $20k and now...possibly $10k? Moving the goal post back in preparation for magically having enough to not lose his house*?

* Yes, he's back to that again. It had changed to a lien being placed/payment plan back to having to move and sell the WaKhando if he doesn't raise enough funds. E7 money is never spoken of. That $12k has disappeared from D$P Lore.

Even if he doesn't make enough, I'm sure somehow he'll magically be alright. Even his fans know he's talking out his arse. That's why he's barely been hitting any goals he sets up. He thinks they're idiots, and while some are, I think most are just there to laugh at the failure and see his next big emergency. I wouldn't be surprised if a large chunk of his viewerbase were people just like us but not wanting to get this autistic about a fat, miserable old man.

While there is always a steady influx of new names with cheer badges and sub crowns, there are enough old names that I have to agree with you. Most of these names were there for the Tut and E7 windfalls, so I find it difficult to believe that they are buying his sob stories. There are, unfortunately plenty of new names not there at these times Planetjeff being one of them. Though 'a long time supporter', Planetjeff is what D$P would call a 'fair weather viewer'. If not for his tendency for dropping large sums of cash( $600-$700 in tips), he'd be maligned as such by our hero.

I legitimately believe he doesn't keep track of the tips... Or more accurately, I don't believe he has the ability to keep track of it (based on watching him struggling to add one single digit and one double digit number together).

Bugged mental arithmetic mechanics.

Muxy literally totals the tips he's received during a given stream (and probably for the day/week/month/year, if I had to guess). That's what he uses now to add the tips up. All his bullshit about how hard it was to keep track of the tips is just that--bullshit. He literally has the numbers sitting in front of him. He could automate it. He's just that great combination of lazy and stupid.

Didn't he say the reason he doesn't automate things like follows, subs and donos was because
  1. LTG had it show follows and people were posting nudes (or some such ToS) and got him banned
  2. He likes to do it manually because it opens up interaction
Now, if LTG was on Twitch at the time (I don't follow this cow so IDK anything about him really), I've never seen a stream where people can just open/post images on screen. Don't streamers usually pick out a set of pics/gifs to go with whatever the alert is for? i.e follow, new sub, 2-3-4 month sub etc. That sounds like he was just grasping for an excuse.

His interaction doesn't need me to mock it any further, we all know what he means. But he can still shout out the dono/sub/follower even if it was automated, so that excuse is moot as well. There's no doubt he's just too lazy to figure it out. Which is funny to me because by being so lazy he's just inconveniencing himself further. It's nice to know the struggles he makes for himself in games (bullrushing through without learning anything and when the challenge kicks in it takes far longer than if he just played properly) is the same as real life.

How can he not see it as an inconvenience? No other streamer I've ever watched does it the way he does. It's just so awkward all around.

Yeah he gave Phil 3 $200 tips, rounding down. If you're going by the $20,000 tax bill, where that amount came from I have no idea, Jeff just has to tip 97 more times. Someone once tossed around the idea that when this sort of thing happens you don't get mad instead you cheer the guy on. Cheer him on to keep tipping until it ruins their life, theoretically. It just seems like everyone is doing cartwheels because Phil had a few slow days something like this happens. So I;m going to root for Jeff to single handedly get Phil this $20,000. He's got a little over a month so it'll be a breeze.

As for people who get angry at Phil, which I understand I used to get mad too, but one day it just clicked with me that nothing that happens to Phil affects your life in anyway. If he gets $1,000 tip your paycheck won't be any lighter. There are thousands if not millions of scumbags going through life getting way more then they deserve. Phil's just one of them.

I keep telling myself there's nothing Phil can do to surprise me, but here I am, genuinely surprised he said he just streams for fun and doesn't track the contributions. I think this might actually take the cake for most blatant Phil lie. I mean, he practically in the same breath mentioned the tip goals, which I guess in Phil's mind somehow doesn't count as tracking contributions. I can't wait to see the mental gymnastics he tries to do when that quote is cycling through his chat the next time he brings up contributions, aka every pre-stream/the majority of his tweets.

Regarding Phil being too lazy to automate tips. Part of it is for sure typical Phil laziness because that's always part of his life, but I think even if he somehow managed the herculian effort of enabling an automated program, he wouldn't want to. Part of Phil's denial is thinking he isn't successful because if people see him making money he convinces himself they aren't going to tip/cheer even though they are in awe of his "beasting." Whenever possible, Phil will choose to hide his numbers because having actual numbers on screen makes it harder to lie. I think the only reason he bothered to track tips at all was because so many people in chat would make a fuss that not even Phil could pretend it didn't happen. Although even as I type that, I'm imagining a situation a few months from now where I'm saying something like "I can't believe Phil just tried to insist random paypig X didn't just donate $100, the message is literally right there in chat."

Quick edit And just to be clear since tone is sometimes lost online, this is in no way an "I'm so angry Phil is lying" post. Honestly, I think this is one of the funnier Phil lies in awhile and I love how even some of his loyal viewers are pointing out the hypocrisy in chat. It's also pretty funny that not dabbing of all things is apparently the line in the sand for some of Phil's viewers and now they're getting labeled as trolls.

Is that the reason though? We all know he tracks this stuff. He stops game play and manually updates tips, bits and subs. All of that being automated would do is make it so he personally doesn't have to worry about it. He doesn't need to show total tips if he doesn't want to. It can just show all the lastest subs, donos and bits. I don't believe for a second it's got anything to do with hiding anything. I think it's just him being a contrarian for the sake of it. Same with how long it took to go direct capture. I mean we see everything on screen anyway, subs show up, donos show up and so do bits.

That way he could carry on game play, just glance at the screen and thank the person who did whatever.

I can’t imagine how anyone can enjoy this schlock enough to pay $600 for it. I’ll try, though. If I were:

Wealthy - Money can buy just about anything. If I had enough of it to drop $600 on Darksydephil, I’d live in constant terror of a French Revolution-esque mob storming my mansion. Also I’d really have to examine the priorities in my life.

Social Outcast - If Phil and his paypigs are my only friends, I’d first get myself a pet at the local animal shelter and then ask myself why. If I’m ugly, I’d use that $600 on a personal trainer or a stylist. If it’s a personality issue, I’d use that $600 for therapy and medication. If it’s shyness, I’d go to a bar and use that $600 to make friends.

Disabled - If all I could do in life was operate a Stephen Hawking setup, then yeah, I could see myself throwing bits around to make a monkey dance. I’d probably use my discretionary funds on titty streamers and handjobs, though.

Possessed of a childlike intellect - whether due to age or disability, I’d hope my caregivers would know better than to subject me to Darksydephil.

Yeah, I still don’t get this.

Which literally happened here. This raises my eyebrow the most, as how can you say "I don't keep track of donations" when those $200 literally exploded in his face. It's not a matter of counting, it's just acknowledging he got the money. Everything to do nothing and be a rebel, as deconstructive and illogical it is.

He might not want his legacy to end but he tries his best to make it fall.

he is not even ready to dab for money. wtf lazy
the funny thing is that he could have just said "i'm not doing that incentive anymore, but just this once, i'll do it for you guys" maybe made a joke about this being a big deal or something and then did the dab
but nope
he's gotta bitch and whine about how IM NOT DOING IT SO I WONT like petulant baby
