At first I was confused as to how the police let all these fucking people into the crime scene, but obviously they hadnt arrived yet. Good lord the response time in NZ is clearly pretty terrible, but I suppose they dont have shootings every week like us evil Americans do. I re-watched the original video because I was about to leave for work when I noticed this thread, so i skipped around a lot the first time.

I had completely missed the part where he shoots the woman begging for her life on the curb, and then runs over her dead body as he drives away. I wouldn't say this video fucked me up, but that woman begging was pretty brutal.

That aftermath video was also fucked. Though I appreciate the information, that is not the time to record dude. What would Allah think of you recording the evil white man's deeds to show the world? He certainly wouldn't be pleased, and I've heard Allah can be a dick sometimes.

There are some things that aren't clear though - the guy who filmed the video, this was Brenton Tarrant, correct? Because according to police there were 4 arrests, how come none of the others have been named?

The police didn't name him. His name came from the social media he linked in his post on 8chan. It may not even be his real name.

Police are now saying they have 3 in custody but haven't explained why the number has gone down. There's another presser in 15 minutes, so we may find out more then.

I find it quite interesting how he rationalizes this behavior. Although I don't have the time to read his entire manifesto, I've skimmed through it a bit. He doesn't even see himself as awful, he sees himself as a hero, one to lay vengeance on another race for what they did to another race 600 years ago. The fact it's so linked to 4ch/8ch culture is awful in its own right, but it makes me curious on how that type of shitposting legitimately affects unstable individuals. While I'm sure many are on these types of sites for the meme, most are 13 to 24 young men, and some people who believe such rhetoric, but would never kill, and the minority who are like this person. Unstable, impressionable, and the mentally deranged.
