I'm actually very interested in what he'll have to say if he's allowed to represent himself. Will it be cringy meme shit for the purpose of more accelerationism and gaming the media, or will he actually drop the irreverent attitude found in parts of his manifesto and articulate the (real) issues he shot these people over?

Judging from the manifesto it'll probably be very cringy (I'm not even sure they'll have a public trial but don't know how NZ law works), he's not dumb but he's nowhere near cleverly-trolling-the-court intelligence levels.

This whole shit is reminding me of a Linkin Park song except in this case. Chester was not wrong. Both the media and the killer are all guilty of the same. They help promote the killer's plans, the EU is gonna move on with them banning memes on the internet and the UK is gonna ban porn forever. What else would the people do without them? Start huge protests so big it will make the right side of politics. (The alt-right) look right for once. The Killer won and he will get his great war. No matter if it's America or another part of the world. Difference being? The people will overthrow their government. The reawakening like it or not? Will start in the EU, then the UK, then maybe New Zealand, and after that? America will be hit with this shit. The dynamo effect. Let's just say both the media and the people in power will regret ever lying to their own people. It's just gonna make them lose harder than they thought. When law and order get thrown out the window? No one will be alive to tell the tales.

It's not like they weren't planning on doing that anyway. The nanny state in europe has been creeping closer and closer for a while now. All the shooter did was run up and kick the can.

The old quote of "when the police are minutes away, you only have seconds to live" comes to mind. UK armed police had it down to 5 minutes with the London Bridge stabbings. Killed the terrorists 3 minutes later. Compare that to this, 36 minutes to get the guy, if he decided to do more drive byes, like he did with the shotgun, how many more would have been killed?

Now they are acting like a bunch of cunts because they were too little too late, charging people for sharing videos and trying to get info from websites out of their jurisdiction. Politicians are going to be using this to crank down on gun laws and justify increased spying on the population, who will happily agree "for the greater good".
