Just as many people, including the fucking shooter, predicted, the govt of New Zealand is embarking on a massive lock-down of civil liberties following the
ChristChurch massacre.
Not only are they threatening imprisonment for anyone who possesses the video of the incident, and threatening fourteen years in prison to those who 'deal' the video.
But the New Zealand Police are also LYING about their response to the incident. If you've seen the video, linked above in the Incident thread, you can plainly see that the police took much longer to respond than they say they did.

If you watched the video, the attack began the first shots rang out at 6:33 into the video, and the attacker had finished emptying several clips of ammunition into the people at the mosque, and shot three people on the street before getting to his car, running over the corpse of a woman he had just killed, and driving down the road. Using a pump shotgun to fire on people on the sidewalk. Even if you factor in that police were called a minute or two after the shooting began, sirens were not heard in the video until at least 15:23. He was still at the Mosque Seven minutes after the shooting started. They could have sent police from another area, that got there immediately after the shooter left, but when you look at maps of the region, things get a bit clearer. This police Twitter message in regards to the massacre is to praise the response time that is fucking
embarrassing.

The Mosque isn't even ten blocks away from TWO police stations, and the closest two are in the same area, separated by only a few blocks. From the video, it appears the shooter leaves in his car going down Deans Ave towards Addington. He was almost four minutes away when the first sirens are even heard. Add this to the New Zealand government asking
Null to give them all user information on those who post about the shooting here, and combine this with how the police are threatening 10 to 14 years in jail for possessing the video, and it appears they're censoring the internet to cover up this massive fuck up. There are three fully manned police stations within this
very small area, and there wasn't a single squad-car, or response for longer than they claim. Even if I fucked my math up, and they got that response time, there is no excuse for how long this took. Gunshots are easily heard at the distance police are to the Mosque.

The Police and armed units are happy for citizens to turn over their weapons, after a pathetic and failed response to a terrorist attack got 49 people murdered and dozens others horrifically wounded. Look at the comments to this shit show. People are fucking

The entirety of New Zealand should be ashamed for this obvious abuse of power, and the total failure of the emergency services. Average US police response time for crimes is 10 minutes. For high priority, or violent crimes such as shootings, average response time is
5 minutes.
Perhaps I'm paranoid, but it appears the New Zealand Government is terrified of this incident, and their response to it defining the country the world over. The mainstream media's reaction isn't helping either. With most of their vitriol going to the social media platforms sharing the video, instead of the actual shooting. One example being this
