Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Something else happened. A tactical error at the heart of this. A single small change that fucked everything up for them:
Vic didn't own up to the accusations and immediately went radio silent.
Exactly. If they intended to take down western anime using MeToo they chose the worst first target. Maybe if they had gone after someone smaller like Chris Niosi or Eric Vale (who SJWs also find "problematic") this would have gone how they expected, but they underestimated several factors with Vic.

1. They thought he'd just lay down and die like a good pacifist Christian that turns the other cheek. People both in the industry and randoms on tumblr have talked shit on him for years while he, aside from sometimes addressing it at cons, let it slide. They didn't think he'd lawyer up and fight back.

2. They thought he wouldn't have the fan support. FMA was over a decade ago and aside from Qrow, Rohan, and the new Broly movie he wasn't in anime as much while he was working on his Star Trek series the last 5+ years. They didn't take into account that he'd still been going to many conventions and keeping such good will with fans that they'd raise 100k in two weeks.

3. Too many people over the years have had first hand experience of this guy's kindness. "Listen and believe" is a lot harder when people's own eyes and ears are telling them otherwise. If they hadn't targeted someone so popular he has literally thousands of videos of him at cons being the polar opposite of what they say, they might have been more convincing. But when they haven't been able to produce a single photo or video of him being a pervert or asshole in the plethora of youtube/instagram material? Nah.

To add to that a few other things happened that allowed Vic to arrive at the fortuitous moment.

1. The Kavenaugh hearings elevated the #metoo sideshow to the theater of the absurd. This caused a great deal of skepticism in the general public. While the hardened far left feminists became bolder, they completely missed the tidal change of the general public. The public saw a blatant and predatory character assasination of a good man play out in front of them on every news channel. And they were disgusted by what they saw. The feminists and media still champion the accuser as a “hero”. The public saw her for what she was, views her with disdained and is now looking at new accusers through that filter.

2. Comicsgate. Specifically Meyer v Waid. That was a quiet game changer in the niche nerd communities. It got the fandoms thinking and realizing that there were legal options with which to push back against the nonstop character assasinations and unpersoning. And it got some of the Internet artists researching and thinking in terms of those options.

3. Covington, similarly the public was watching the narrative spun in real time by the media, while at the same time seeing the truth behind the curtain. It increased their distrust of “obvious truth” type narratives, and once again reinforced the options of Lawfare.

4. Vic is an open Christian, in an industry heavily entrenched with LGBTQetc Dangerhairs. The desire and motivation for them to scheme together to take him out was transparently obvious to the broader fan base. Many of whom are older than the accusers and companies realize. Yeah those fans of FMA? They’re not kids anymore. They are looking at this through different filters as they age. “Listen and Believe” is not one of those filters anymore. Adults don’t do that, only children, or the stupid and immature. And they are the fans that funded his Legal bills in 2weeks.

5. The conspirators accusers lied. And got caught in it multiple times. The pictures taken out of context, footage edited, pictures photoshopped, fake SWATing and Bomb threats. Oh and that idiotic Con threatening them with arrest and prosecution for questioning the narrative. Yeah, this is not a good way to make friends and influence people. If your first accusation is a lie, it doesn’t matter if your last accusation is true. Anything you say will be dismissed. For some reason they don’t seem to grasp this basic human truth.

6. Finally the public has grown tired of the SJW Social Media dogpiling. They are sick of the thought police, the censorship. The double standards of rules. They are starting to draw their lines in the sand. Vic was lucky enough to be one of those lines.

So a "little birdie" has authorized me to say that Shane isn't so much probing for info, but actually has some insider info that he'd be looking to get ahead of with Nick with on a Livestream. Nick, not being an idiot like Shane, already knows what it is.

Said info should hopefully be revealed with or without Shane.

I don't know what it is. I didn't ask. I just asked if I could share that tidbit here.

Probably should keep up with the drama. Since we have to wait around for the annoyingly slow legal process.

PULL has been digging through supergirls old accounts in hopes of doxxing her.

Some mysterious person has made multiple accounts in order to threaten several kickvic people when litigation has already started. Smells like a falseflag.

Poor Shane, so confident and yet always two steps behind. That said, does he really need to one-up Nick that badly? Nick isn't gonna be hurt or embarrassed about any insider info Shane could bring up.

Given his legendary performance in the last stream, I'd say he feels that he has to.

He already knows what it is. So the point is that Shane can't ambush Nick with anything even if he wanted to.

lol Weeb Wars has its own Melissa Morgue. It really has crossed the streams with Comicsgate. How long till someone gets fake murdered?

On a side note: I would LOVE to meet USDM the social media manager for funimation, if they still exist in any capacity. Mostly just to determine if they actually had any training in the position given that they did EXACTLY what someone should NEVER do in that situation. Are they an exceptional woke individual, or are they just some shchlep that was granted the position thinking it was an easy paycheck? or even better: was it an outsourced position where there is literally zero legal overhang and responsibility?

I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have an overall manager position at all. Albeit, if they did, you can bet your ass that it would have been filled by a nepotistic parasite. And we all know how they are.

Attention, Kiwis and Weeb Warriors! I would like to re-introduce Godswill Ugwa, Jr., the Social Media Coordinator of Funimation.

Based on his posts, the guy seems like a typical anime fan who landed a "dream job." Besides drinking soup in a questionable method,
https://archive.fo/MoRAa , he quoted AOC and responded to a tweet about #BrieLarsonForPresident (https://archive.fo/vx18l). He also seems fine with Sonic's design for the movie (https://archive.fo/CY80P). After weighing his opinion on the bathroom question (https://archive.fo/QMWh0), he thanks AOC for being a "light on what goes on" ( https://archive.fo/fpm9L) to show how woke he is.
As for Mignogna, the only thing about him that he posted on his social media was about how much he enjoyed Vic's rendition of One Piece's "We Are" (https://archive.fo/6o5Zj). He said this just days before Weeb Wars officially started.

Putting Ugwa's lolcow potential aside, there are some serious questions that need to be addressed. Since we know Ugwa's role as Social Media Coordinator, that means he is in charge of whatever message Funimation needs to be put on all of their social media accounts. This leads me to two questions about Funimation's tweets regarding Vic:
  1. Did Ugwa receive a copy from his superiors to tweet word-for-word the update that stated Funimation was no working with Vic and Ugwa simply followed the script?
  2. Did the second tweet come from Ugwa or possibly someone underneath him going "off-script" and he added his own opinions on the matter?

If its the first scenario, Ugwa looks like a patsy or a fall guy just following orders. If its the second scenario, well then....

Funimation and RT could have saved their asses with their own 5 words answering "why did you fire Vic?":

It is a private matter.

Instead, the other VAs shoot their damn legs off with inflamitory statements.

It's funny because Rooster Teeth handled themselves much better with the David "Knuckles Dawson" Dreger situation.
Thanks to Brandon "Fragger" Light, we know how RT operated in that controversy:
tumblr_nmmjldwype1qbk364o2_r1_1280.png

Notice that RT "depersoned" Dreger, "scrubbing" all mentions of him the Rooster Teeth official website, their Twitter account, etc.?
Also, note the statement Geoff Ramsey instructed all of Achievement Hunter and Rooster Teeth to reply with. Jack Patillo (rhymes with armadillo) followed through with this in an AMA on reddit:
https://archive.fo/6OOoz

Now, you can find content with Dreger in it on the official website and their YouTube account. What happened? When Dreger went missing, his family reached out to fans about the whereabouts of Dreger and fans turned to Rooster Teeth. Eventually, Rooster Teeth could no longer ignore the fans and Burnie Burns announced on a podcast that Dreger was missing. Burns urged that if anyone knew anything about Dreger, then they should contact the RCMP (Dreger went missing in Vancouver). When Dreger's body was found, Burns made a statement about it and dedications were made to Dreger (such the second episode of season 11 of Red vs. Blue). I think they reversed themselves now that Dreger was dead.

In comparison to their stance with Vic, the only difference is that some of the voice actors for RWBY could not keep their mouths shut and follow the script. Also, Vic is not dead.

Jesus Christ, they're honestly trying to #MeToo a guy who's barely dead, whose family is absolutely still mourning him because he died so suddenly? What the fuck??

These people are fucking vultures. Disgusting.

"hey guys I have a great idea: lets go accuse a dead puddin' head of being a creeper... what could possibly go wrong?"

I wish I was more religious so I could rest assured that these cunts had a hell to go to.

I'm afraid I was already literally murdered to death by several kick viccers when I was out and about my business. They're so dangerous I hope it doesn't happen again.

I would mock him more for that than having dandruff. You aren't being more hygienic here, you are just rubbing random shit out of the pantry onto your head and assuming it solves the problem.

Raw egg and honey... really? What the fuck is sugar and protein goop doing to solve this issue? How about just changing shampoo. For fucks sakes. You weirdo alt-health people come up with the goofiest shit sometimes, I swear.

Nigger, your ignorance is really astounding.

Coconut oil decreases water retention and prevent protein loss because of its hydrophobic properties that prevent water from entering the cuticles. Water absorption causes hair swelling, which in turn causes damage; coconut oil prevents this. Honey has antimicrobial effects to prevent dandruff, plus provides softening and shine effects (it's also a treatment for anal fissures, which you probably need). Honey also has a fuckton of well-known and researched practical uses as a topical ointment due to its antifungal and antibacterial effects; people have been using it for literally thousands of years. Egg yolks are theorized to have a water-soluble peptide to induce hair growth. Eggs also contain lecithin, a phospholipid, which improves adhesion of the aforementioned ingredients and allows for them to be evenly distributed.

It isn't alt-health. It's pretty well-agreed upon science, which is why you see a fuckton of shampoos, conditioners, and body washes that have coconut and honey bases. Eggs, not so much because that shit is perishable.

Wasn't there a video where Vic did that at a convention?

He's not apologised for any sexual assault. He's apologised for making people "uncomfortable" and apologised (in tears, breaking down) about how he apologises to anyone for hugging if anyone felt it inappropriate.

It's a relatively well crafted apology and probably the part Sabbat and all that were saying "REMEMBER HE'S AN ACTOR" they've probably seen the vid and thought 'crocodile tears'.
