I disagree, American public schools aren't intended to educate, they're intended to indoctrinate. (A feature of all government schools.)

They weren't the ones indoctrinating here. I'm sure there are still world history classes taught in those schools. That kids never took those classes, never read about it independently, and never bothered informing themselves but still feel justified spouting bullshit isn't anything new. Young people have always done that. What has changed is instead of adults telling them to STFU and stay in their lane, they are encouraging it and pushing it farther (if it aligns with a certain worldview).

This isn't an education issue. It's a popular culture one. People are allowed to be violently retarded as long as it is PC and this is where it takes us.

I wouldn't blame the school system here. It's cultural. They are lazy stupid people who desperately want to be thought of as smart and important and noble and are latching on to woke sentiment in a poorly thought out attempt to fill that hole where wisdom goes.

But in a semi-functional school system, such smart-alecks will be laughed at by their peers and be gently steered to the proper way by teachers. Now teachers valorize them; now teachers are just as dumb as them. And any students who laugh at them will be chastised as "bigots".

What's this got to do with being nonbinary? If anything, the buzzword for these birds would be "polyamorous". Unless they're saying that the male birds caring for the babies means they must not identify as male anymore because only females should do that, in which case OP is a misogynist and should be burnt at the stake.

Also they're fucking birds. And they're specifically bald eagles. They're apex predators. Unlike prey species, their habitats can support very few of them, and their offspring are also few. So it makes sense for males to contribute to taking care of offspring, and in weird situations like this, if there's something like a 50% chance of offspring being yours, it's still worth that.

Also it's entirely possible some of the eggs were fertilized by one father and others by another.

Either way, it's not a species that can afford to just let offspring die, since they're rare compared to the more numerous prey species.
