They're only going after Nick because it's easier on their egos to pick on him over irrelevant bullshit than address the reality of an impending lawsuit that is almost certainly going to blast their original point of sanctimonious vitriol towards Vic into oblivion. It's a common tactic for them to deploy when they're faced with the prospects of eating crow: just deflect to some non-sequitur in a desperate attempt to save face.
Shane did it in Nick's stream by trying to bring up TI with a contract, which very ironically, seems to have been something he was involved in, as recent info would suggest.
That one Anglo serial liar did it by bringing up being an alleged rape victim for some retarded reason. No one gave a shit.
Paralegal LARPers are trying to make it seem like saying mean things on the internet is so evil that it supersedes the immorality of browbeating a man out of the industry he built his career on.

The depth of denial and stupidity on display here is just... I mean who thinks like that? A normal person would think that a married lawyer with a gaggle of children having the convenience of working from home in rural Minnesota and no longer spending time and money on a commute and office rental would likely mean his career is moving in a relatively positive direction. But no, in their mind he's a hack who can't even afford to work out of a shed because he says mean things.
