If it is Sabat, holding him out as a vice-principal of Funimation would expose Funimation to Gross Negligence for every single thing Sabat has done. That would be why proving he is a vice principal would matter. Mignimation isn't entirely a joke if that's how this goes down.

Sony is fucking huge, and owns 95 percent of Funimation, so I think the "Vic owning Funimation" thing is still hyperbole.

However, it would be fucking hilarious if Sabat is out on his ass when this is all done. I think they'd have to cut ties if he caused that much financial damage and it became public as to why.

Before we even get to that though, I'm holding out hope that word gets back to Toei about Sabat's ginormous ego and completely unwarranted control of this franchise, and they inform Funimation that Sabat has got to go. Toei actually has enormous power over Funimation by way of contract. More so than Sony when it comes to DB.

Extra credit would be awarded if Vic is cast as Vegeta after Sabat fucks off. The salt would be glorious.

Not the most reliable source, but googling their net worth has Sabat at worth $8-9mil and Vic at $4mil. And Sabat is ten years younger while Vic is close to retirement age.

Those figures are almost never right. They got Nick pegged at $50K a year. Which he laughed at.

Why is practically everyone associated with Channel Autism a completely fuck awful human?

Is this a trick question? Channel Autism was essentially a Roach Hotel for attracting Awful, Depraved, Broken examples of human retardation

Don't feel to bad, the cat realized just who Marzgurl was, and took the easy way out.

Won't she be surprised when she finds out her cats secretly been grooming and raping underaged Schnauzer puppies. Everybody knew, but nobody told her.

Well, everything he's done as vice principal.
By holding out, I meant BHBH proving that Sabat is vice principal.
But more importantly, it also opens the corporation itself to exemplary (punitive) damages.
Gross Neglience opens them to exemplary damages, right?
I will say the only known key player I've found bragging about how much money they have so far is Toye.
For some weird reason I can't shake the idea of Iago being Soye. It sounds dumb as fuck on it's face, but it won't go away.

Yeah, it would require Sony to declare a fuck it and sell funimation to vic. It would be so fucking funny that I can't help the :optimistic:

It makes me sick the worst of anime fans like her plague the world, and I've heard many stories. God forbid if this bitch has kids.

I wouldn't worry about that too much. She's a 30-something immature womanchild who still plays dress-up and bullies a man behind the safety of her computer. I think her getting a case of the babies is VERY unlikely.

Still, poor kitty. :(

I blame Doug. They caught the dumbass disease from him.

I've spent some time mulling this over as well
  • 1. Ty says Iago is not an employee of either studio. Since we are dealing with lawyers Iago could still be a contractor for either or both.
  • 3. This one has me stumped.
  • 4. Ty says Iago should just throw down $200k if he has the net worth he claims.
  • 9. Ty thinks Iago can be held out as a vice-principal of 'his' company.
  • 13. "You have threatened one of my other clients with retaliation simply because he hired me." That doesn't sound like history to me. That sounds like somebody went after haberkorn after he hired vic's lawyer.
Sabat is contractor for funimation and supposedly has hiring privileges on at least some projects. Which makes him vice-principal under texas law. I'm still not convinced Sabat is Iago, but that's the best argument anyone has come up with for someone not an employee that could be argued as a vice-principal of anything.

e: auto formatting fucking with me again.
As for point 2 'Not affiliated with any cons, but has influence over them'

Ty's words are
does not appear to be an employee of either of the studios that we are interested in, but he apparently has a great deal of influence. He does not own or run any of the conventions, but he apparently has a great deal of influence with them... Our intelligence is that Iago was one of the people that was pressuring this convention owner [KamehaCon] and others
Who did Rackets name? Rial, Soye, Shane and Sabat. With him railing on Sabat for being the most underhanded snake possible, Just like Iago.

Voice and bragging about wealth is the only part that I can't really fit. Possibly Soye or Shane, but are they influential? Could you get them for vice principal? Maybe Shane's convention. Could always be another mystery guy that we don't know about, but i'm currently thinking Sabat

What Sabat has done is not negligent. It is malicious and intentional. The actions and intentions of a principal can be attributed to the corporation.

Vice principals are these:

"(a) Corporate officers;  (b) those who have authority to employ, direct, and discharge servants of the master;  (c) those engaged in the performance of nondelegable or absolute duties of the master;  and (d) those to whom a master has confided the management of the whole or a department or division of his business."

Sabat could arguably he held to be one of these (and thus the corporation acted through him) on theories based on (b) through (d) since he is not actually a corporate officer. (d) seems the least tenuous although (b) seems arguable too.

So I'm reading through that reddit post that discussed the scandal last year where Sean tried to bully Kamehacon into not having Peter but got caught and had to back off. It's silly, but one of the people mention that "It's not like he's at any risk of running out of money any time soon. He's publicly bragged about his paycheck before "

I strongly doubt that Sean is Iago, but I will point out that looks + personality + voice wise he does fit better than Sabat according to Ty's descriptions. Unless he has some company of his own I don't know about that could be dragged into things though, he has gaps in this like Sabat does (even assuming we count being a VA for Funimation as not technically affiliated with it) that make it as unlikely or more than Sabat. I just found that tidbit amusingly on topic.

I just want it to be Sabat, THOTery will be his undoing.

Oh boy... Toye tweeted he'd be willing to settle "if the terms were agreeable."

Nice back peddle.

Maybe he wasn't lying about having a lawyer after all.

That thread linked earlier on is kind of fascinating just to see how often Sean has melted down, deleted his twitter history, deleted his twitter, blocked other Gokus, and generally acted like a child. It's a shame none of the links are archives so the actual tweets are gone, though. Even MasakoX (DBZA, not DBZ sub) commented on it in response to a tweet from Peter about being blocked by Sean.

It's not out of the question. The way Ty said "we absolutely will touch you" as a play on the tweet heard around the world and he challenged Iago to delete even one email, and we know Soye got a letter about that.

Things that don't fit are that he described Iago as back-stabbing and said he kept his hands clean but Ron's been shitting all over his in front of everyone.

As it stands, I would not be shocked if Sabat wanted the Broly role himself. Especially after finding out how the movie fleshed him out to be a fully developed character and not an overpowered excuse plot for Goku and the gang to fight in movies. And Vic getting the role caused him to go about the clusterfuck we are now in.

Someone else in the thread pointed out that Vic was brought on as Broly in the eighth DBZ movie when Funimation wanted a big-name actor instead. I hadn't heard of that story before, but I think it's pretty hilarious they wanted to try and get some famous actor as Broly when the character hardly spoke in the first place and just screams and grunts, for one thing, and Funimation I doubt was such a big-name studio at the time they were dubbing the film.

Toei, however, is veeeeeery controlling of their IPs, they get the final say in everything. For whatever reason, they chose Vic (and that was his first Funimation role, yes? Edward got him the fangirls), and they pretty much set it in stone that Vic was to be the character. No one expected a new Broly movie to be made decades after the character was introduced, but I'm willing to bet Toei has a memory of an elephant when it comes to contracts or has someone who looks into the cast. Whether Sabat wanted the role of Broly for himself or to give it away to someone else because his hate-boner was too much for him to handle, Toei was there to breathe down their necks and they had to get Vic back since he still had a contract with them. Perhaps that was what the 2018 investigation was for in order to free up space for Broly so they could have an excuse to give to Toei and ask for permission to get a new actor, but nothing gets past Toei. Nothing.

Nick has said Toei knows what's currently going on. So if Sabat (or even Schemmel as theorized by @Allanon) is Iago and gets jail time like Ty is threatening/promising, they'll go apeshit. That energy's building as we speak.
