I like how REEEEEEnfamous can ask for hard evidence of shit getting faked when fabricated, awful "proof" is the name of the game for kickvic since the beginning of the thread all the while mentioning damning "evidence" that only exist if you willingly ignore the context surrounding them or is, you know, proven to be fake like the video. Can't wait for the court case.

I wouldn't say exceptional, more :optimistic:. Japan is far less friendly when it comes to fair use compared to the US which was part of why abridged series got slammed with strikes so often. Like roughly 10 years ago, which is around the time of episode 20, Japanese law outright said you couldn't redistribute any of their shit without permission. The laws have gotten a bit more lax and TFS probably could fight that battle now, but Toei really does not care for TFS and I wouldn't envy having to take on a titan that actively hates you.
Their culture is all about pride and public image. One of the interviews from CD PROJEKT from the GOG side mentioned that finding license owners for most japanese games was super hard because they still tend to have a contract by word of mouth alone simply because of how their culture is. If one of the included party messes up they are pretty much doing Seppuku as other companies would see the stains on that individual as proof alone. Maybe the fact that Japan is Guilty until proven innocence pays into this mindset even more.
Even japanese game creators for games like Yakuza outright said they won't cater to anyone specially when it comes to female representation in Yakuza series and that Yakuza's image for its fans its all about MANLINESS. Japanese attitude is basically fuck western bullshit and let us do what we think is right in the japanese culture.

So yeah japanese care about their own pride and image first. If they think TFS is doing anything to harm their public image they will remove them. Heck if funimation tries to fuck with the dragon ball franchise's public image over the line they will not take a second thought to outright cancel funimation deal as well. Not to forget Dragon Ball is literally one of the biggest franchises of japan when it comes to entertainment medium. And TFS literally can do them no harm. TFS isn't a big enough brand where millions of people aka the fans of dragon ball would boycott DRAGON BALL just because of a youtube channel that makes abriged

I believe thats for archival purposes so should the beard bring on Ahab for a little whale hunting expedition they can use this as a repository of ammunition.
We should also make sure to fully archive the tweets as well, so she can't claim they've been altered.

Lauren has the mentality of a literal cockroach: scurry into the shadows, avoid being crushed under her own weight.

Box her in, leave her no escape or place to hide in.

She did it during Comicsgate, she'll keep doing it as long as it works.

Especially when she's literally begging for the attention, while jeering at the fact the last time she went on a podcast, it shelled her credibility.

General question, did Gawker ever report on the Hogan affair during/after they got fucked?

Not only did they do that, they actively defied the judge's order to take down the article.

however the western anime community is far larger than japans anime community

No. Just no. You're autistic.

except TFS is in the US which legally protects them and with how youtube now handles strikes, they could literally say "Fine, sue me faggot. I've got these two cases that say your going to be sucking my dick by the end of it" and Toei would be forced to either retract and legally admit they were false strikes (because youtube is pseudo legal actually) or sue overseas which while expensive for TFS is a nightmare for people initiating lawsuits.
mind, this is especially because Toei doesn't have a branch office in america to make things smoother. if they did, then the branch could've initiated it. instead, toei all the way from japan has to and i've seen lawyers say online its a pain in the ass to get an international suit going.

tl;dr- TFS is protected because international lawsuits suck donkey balls and it'd be a losing battle, and initiating a strike could lead to them either having to sue or admit legally the strikes are fake, making them liable.
Correct me if i am wrong but why would TOEI be suing TFS in US ? Its a japanese franchise can't they sue them in Japan because then US's GOVT has no say over the ruling. And TFS will have to defend themselves in the japanese legal system. Like how nick keeps saying AnimeNewsNetwork and other can be sued in canada if they have to instead of US. If BHBH can do it if they want i am pretty sure lawyers of a billion dollar company/franchise can easily do it. SPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO SOMETHING THAT EARNS THE A MAJOR PART OF THEIR REVENUE.
