Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

While all this Vic-related shit was going on yesterday, I completely forgot about the Mueller Report.

I'd say Friday March 22, 2019 was a black day for SJWs.

It's just been impossible to make anything on her stick because Jack and Twitter safety won't completely nuke her off the site, no matter how much people expose her as a hypocrite and crybully, even when she admitted publicly to ban evading in her exchanges with BestMomEva (@mombot).

As I said earlier, and Nick also said in his stream last night, I would not recommend actually entering into a dialogue with her. It's 100% true that she's trying to goad people into suspendable conduct. Don't take the bait.

However, there may be interesting things for her coming down the pipeline, so I'd recommend archiving. This second part is what Yellowflash doesn't get. If you don't want to personally archive, then yeah, maybe blocking her is the best action. Otherwise, if you have the stomach for it, archiving is appreciated.

On that note of archival, I've already been logging her tweets that are tangentially or damningly important to her stoking the fires of #KickVic's proven obfuscations and lies.

I can just dump them here, right?

Yes. It's arguably best to do as many as you can in a single post, so you don't distract too much for info and developments coming out from other sources. The net on this whole sorted affair is getting pretty big.

This is how she will wear us out. I ain't got that kind of time to waste on her.

What I usually do, when somebody is that autistic, is go to the Tweets & Replies page, and just archive that. Then, a couple of hours later (or whatever), repeat the process.

That's what I was actually doing with Shane for a while. Dude fucking loses his shit from time to time.

That said, I still think Iago is Sabat.
After some much needed sleep, I've decided Rackets threw out a red herring. Ty says some of us have guessed correctly. The only people not involved anime that we had as possibles were Soye and Geekdom101. We know the little voice in the back of my head is exceptional and it's not Soye. I don't know enough about Geekdom101 to have an opinion, but nobody seemed confident in that possiblity.

I think it's Sabat, but the lack of bragging about wealth still bothers me.

I love all this pretend concern kickvic people are doing
Yeah guys, Vic is TOTALLY going to molest some poor women when he has armed guards around him and while he's pretty much under hyper pressure and surveillance by everyone since these allegations
But no those poor women they are in such incredible danger he will definitely go on some molesting spree leaving no survivors

A very apropos picture for this moment:
sea-salt-ice-cream.jpg

For those not aware, the ice cream they are eating is made with sea salt.
Likewise, enjoy your frozen confectionary made from the salty tears of KickVic!

Did Ty ever say it was on Twitter or whatever? He could be doing it behind closed doors or elsewhere.

No, Ty said Iago bragged about his wealth on the internet. Never said anything about it being on Twitter, though.

EDIT: Cougar'd.

You'd think KickVic would latch onto "There are worse people in the industry than Vic but we can't go after them because they're too powerful" statement Zac put out. Sooner or later, he'll be called 'complicit' when they're tired of this witchhunt.

About the Toei talk from earlier, they're just a huge pain in the ass in general, being old guard or not. They don't treat IPs not Dragon Ball/potentially One Piece very well, whether-or-not that's due to Bandai-Namco's influence, so fans have a huge love-hate relationship with the studio that made their childhoods. Even then, Japanese cater to Japanese only, Westerners are just a blip on their radars and can be ignored as far as they're concerned. It'd explain why the most complaints you hear about Toei come from Western fans, many Western fans really don't understand Japanese customs and society, and so whatever changes made/new additions to their IPs (such as Saint Seiya and even Dragon Ball) that are otherwise disappointing/pissing off Western fans don't mean anything to Toei.

Honestly am a bit surprised, if not intrigued, that the Chinese are more important to Japanese studios than America is, even if it's no deeper than the fact they're next-door neighbors. Like I know Korea and Japan hate each other, but I could've sworn China and Japan didn't like each other much, either, China especially disliking Japan for being an offshoot from them and "stealing" and "changing" their language and culture.

But whatever, I'm actually happy for China for throwing their hat into the animation ring, even if they're like ten years behind in terms of animation.

Laura Bailey might be sentimental toward anime, but she absolutely doesn't need it anymore. Trunks in particular was very hard on her.

Laura's just so adorable :heart-full: , if FUNimation wasn't going through this shit, I had been holding on to hope she would come back as Tohru for the new Fruits Basket series, but I'm imagining future simuldubs are going to be put on the backburner as a result of a looming lawsuit. I don't even know if she's still with FUNimation at this point now that I think about it, she seems happier doing voice-work for video games now.

It's actually too bad that Kodocha sold so poorly so they couldn't finish the dub. Sana's one of my favorite roles of Laura's.

ROFL. This is just the cherry on the top.

The cherry on top of the shit sundae that is the Pokémon VAs? Outside of Carter Cathcart being a gigantic jackass too big for his britches, I've seen around that people had some unflattering stories to tell of Eric Stuart. Also recall the original VAs asking people to petition/write letters to 4KIDS about the change in contract which is really baffling because that'd be something for their attorneys to look into, not fans. Also know that Jay Goede was quite the prima donna to 4KIDS and they had a breach of contract back in late-2000/early-2001 using his real name instead of his alias "Philip Bartlett" (accidental or not, not sure), but that's small potatoes.

She revealed a while ago that she is reprising her role as Tohru. Not sure what the current state of affairs is, but I don't see her walking away considering she sounded really excited about the reboot.

If you got them, dump them. Probably stick them in a spoiler tag if it's a lot

Got it, will do.

Still learning the formatting markdown and the etiquette.

Believe you me, L's and G's, I have nothing but time and nuggets to do this indefinitely.

I've been locked in turmoil with this Upset Aggregation for at least a few months, as have many of CG supporters and "leaders".

Sparing my own interactions with her when I beat her at her own game, I fully see it as a responsibility to defend Vic, the fans, and all innocent parties involved from this hypebeast vampire, powerleveling or not.

Someone has to volunteer to stare into the rolls of fat to save everyone else the dye-based madness of her cringe, and I won't let The Beard™ and Nick do it alone.

lmao thread almost got hijacked into a renfamous thread

i haven't seen the beard stream, did they explain why ty was mad?

Look, Renfamous is a lolwhale. No one is disputing this.
But, is she trying to outdo Ron Toye or Shane Holmberg as the dumbest lolcow in the Weeb War?
All she needs is to get wrapped into litigation and be linked to the cabal to accomplish this.
