Correct me if i am wrong but why would TOEI be suing TFS in US ? Its a japanese franchise can't they sue them in Japan because then US's GOVT has no say over the ruling. And TFS will have to defend themselves in the japanese legal system. Like how nick keeps saying AnimeNewsNetwork and other can be sued in canada if they have to instead of US. If BHBH can do it if they want i am pretty sure lawyers of a billion dollar company/franchise can easily do it. SPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO SOMETHING THAT EARNS THE A MAJOR PART OF THEIR REVENUE.

Toei would need to sue in the US because youtube (google) is a US company and it's servers are primarily located in the US. Thus the action occurring is in the US by US citizens. And as our Dear Feeder so elequently stated, the US doesn't give a fuck about some other shithole country's laws.

See Sargon vs Akliha for an example of a foreign national needed to be brought into the US' system in order to defend against a copyright claim for something similar, but not exactly the same.

Possibly proving my own autism, but what stands out to me the most is that it never even learned proper punctuation. Question marks are for asking questions. Periods end statements. The way it writes, it quite literally implies it does not believe what it says and is hoping someone else will validate its claim.

I don't think anyone's made the case that they can't be sued overseas, if they really wanted to -- it's that it's really fucking painful to do so.

Over the years, TFS has had to survive takedowns and removals of content that's protected under Fair Use, not the financial pain of a lawsuit overseas.

And as for ANN being sued in Canada, that has more to do with the fact that truth doesn't exist and cannot be used as a defense for the things they've said and done.

On the TFS front, it's easier to just use YouTube as a middleman to twist the thumbscrews, like all giant litigious entities do -- even when the content in question doesn't belong to them.

Most of the time, these lawsuits tend to only happen because someone thinks they can be able to twist a knife in someone overseas to bring them to the US to twist it further.

But you are forgetting important factors. Alikha is from U.S and the content see sued Carl Benjamin for was also based in U.S (Because it was her youtube videos) so basically makes logical sense for Alikha to sue a youtuber from england in U.S. Why would a party that is suing, sue the other part in a different country when they can literally do it in their own.

Ofc i could be wrong but i just can't agree with you on this unless some more people or a lawyer answers this. It just isn't making any logical sense to me when it comes to copyright.

Speaking of Pokémon, the voice director for the show from Season 11-17 was a guy named Tom Wayland. In case you didn’t know, Wayland was accused of raping a teenage girl at Anime Boston in 2015. I can’t remember what the outcome of that case was, but Wayland was fired from the show and his job as Voice Director was eventually given to Lisa Ortiz. He still owns a recording studio called TripWire Productions, but he no longer does any anime work, to my knowledge.

It's just been impossible to make anything on her stick because Jack and Twitter safety won't completely nuke her off the site, no matter how much people expose her as a hypocrite and crybully, even when she admitted publicly to ban evading in her exchanges with BestMomEva (@mombot).

She needs a post of her own if there isn't one already, just to catalogue the timeline as it stands.

Her original swatting post (the one from 2019) said that after the police had broken down her door, they apologized and help replace it with a new one.

Her latest post omits this entirely, the police weren't even there at all. She made that facebook post because her harasser called and lol'd at her, and that pushed her to the edge. And for some reason, didn't have photos of her current door at the time so she used her 2016 ones cause they looked "similar."

Its almost as if they think, people and the BHBH won't fact check these statements in court to see differences in the earlier statement and the new statement. She just made it to blatantly easy by throwing everything she previously said out of the window and that they will literally forget the earlier retracted statement and only look into the new one.
